A decent bit of kit
I bought this for work. It serves well and i think it would be good for a wide range of lights so long as they have a head swell so that they have something to be pulled in and out by and so that they dont easily get pushed or fall through the case. Its open bottom, which has benefits and disadvantages, but thats the point of this holster i think. I bought it for my aa mini maglite to use on my belt at work. If this is the type of gear that you like for edc, this would work well for you too. I manged to stuff my old 3 d cell maglite into it and it did hold it, though thats a heavy large light, and i dont think its ideal for something that big. It seemed to have over stretched the elastic a tiny bit as my mini mag fits a little looser now, but there have been no problems with it retaining the light at all during my rather physically active use at work. It can be used equally well from either end, though it deffinitely has a balance preference due to the placement of the belt clip off center. Just an observation not a complaint. It will work in nearly any position but it just like some more than others. Its light and durable feeling. The belt clip is the thing i actually like most and least about this. That may be just a matter of getting used to it but let me explain. Its a very high retention belt clip bit can be removed without opening the belt. It has a retention swell in the outer side of the clip and on the inner ( part that goes beind the belt) side, it has a retention hook. That hook is about 75% of a circle and nearly meets the edge of the swell on the other side. You could get picked up and shook upside down vigorously and the light might fall out of the holster, but that holster isnt comming off your belt unless its torn off. You have to really WANT to get it off your belt, and its a bit of a wrestle the first few times you try. If you have some dexterity issues, you might as well consider this a closed belt loop design because you probably wont be able get this off without opening your belt and sliding it off. It would be possible to remove some of the hook part to make it easier though you might be careful in how you do that. The rotating aspect to the clip is very nice as it allows for a range of carry positions and its fairly stiff in its indexed positions. It has seven indexes 12, 130, 430, 6, 730, 9, and 1030 relative to the clockface. The elastic seems to be kinda the weak point if there is one. Im going start taking the light out of it at the end of the day and letting it rest to see if that help it feel stronger when i put the light back in. Deffinitely worth the money spent. Useful and durable, which is what i have come to expect from Nite Ize. I own several of their products and have never been dissatisfied with one.

Well made. Securely holds multiple size flashlights
This holster works very well. It accommodates many different size flashlights and can even fit a decent range of belts. I use it every day as an aircraft mechanic so it definitely gets put through its paces. The stitching is still holding up very well even after about 2.5 years of use.

Small tactical flashlight
The body of my small light is 1in. O.D. with a larger "bell" on the end where the lamp is. Over all length is 5 3/4 in. with a nice adjustable beam. Just too tight to get in and out. Product seemed well made with good material.

Great low price, actually works very well
There is a specific audience of end user that would buy a belt sheath for a flashlight, so if you’re reading this review you probably want to know things like does this thing look “tactical” or does it allow quick release of your flashlight in a survival situation. I can’t answer that because I’m not law enforcement or military. I just wanted something to hold my StreamLight ProTac flashlight if I have to go outside and check my generator in a hurricane. For that purpose, this holster is excellent. It’s surprisingly accommodating to both large and small flashlights, as it has good stretchy elastic side panels. The belt clip is robust, and it allows the sheath to rotate so you can have your flashlight held vertically or horizontally, or any angle in between. Very useful if like me you may need to free up your hands while working in the dark or during a storm. For $10, it’s a great value and it does what it’s designed to do.

I LOVE THIS HOLSTER!!
I use this holster all the time at the shop! This compliments my Inova X series flashlight! I can work on cars, crawl under trucks, climb big trailers and do whatever needed to get done, and this holster does the trick every time!! It is very sturdy and well made. Made in USA I must add. You can position the flashlight at whatever direction you wanted; it goes 360 degrees and the flashlight won't go anywhere! If you're looking for a holster, this is it, the best bang for the buck! Update February 3, 2014: Unfortunately, the front stitches that holds the front cloth on my holster is starting to fall apart. It flaps around whenever I move. Note that this is absolutely not a deal breaker, just something that has made the holster a little difficult and uncomfortable to use. Other than this issue, the main stitches that holds everything together remains intact, and the holster is still completely usable. It still goes 360 degrees and holds my flashlight just as perfect as the first time I used it. Perhaps, the one I got was just defective. Now, what's good about this update is that the manufacturer proved they stand behind their product. After I emailed them last weekend, they responded and offered to give me another one!! This made me very, very happy! And I am absolutely satisfied with my purchase! Don't even think twice, grab this holster! Just in case you wonder, I own an Innova XO3.

Great fo Protac HL
I'm extremely pleased with this holster. I'm using it with a Protac light and it holds it great. I've been wearing it for 12 hours a day for about two weeks now getting in and out of trucks, crawling under them and have no fear of losing my expensive flashlight. The way the belt clip is designed it is dam near impossible for it to come off accidentally short of getting it caught on something and breaking it entirely. I can get the light out with one hand but it is easier to put back in with two hands but can be done one handed. At first I thought the rotating clip would be a weak point but now have come to love it because I can turn it sideways while sitting so it's not poking me in the side. Keep in mind this is a universal holster so your results may vary but for my purpose it fits like a glove. It honestly feels very well made but even if it fails or loses its elasticity I would purchase this same one again. For this price it's a steal. I couldn't imagine using a C or D cell mag with this, I would imagine it would be very difficult to get it in and the lifespan of the elastic to be dramatically shortened.

I’ve had a Nite Ize flashlight holster for a few years and have recently bought this one for my wife. Really easy to fit to a belt and able to hold a variety of different size flashlights. The flashlights are secure and I’ve never had one fall out. Great item to have if you regularly use a flashlight, particularly if you need to get it out and put it away often.

First of all, it fits my Shadowhawk S1695 led flashlight, and this torch is big but still can fit on the holster. The holster builds tough and durable. Its comfortable on my waist, a little force when putting back my torch on the holster but its not big deal because my torch is big. But overall i recommend this product.
