Thomy Delikatess-Senf, Mustard 250 ml

Favorite mustard from Germany; very similar to a Dutch mustard used for "Bitterballen" (croquette-like fried balls filled with a creamy beef gravy. You dip them in mustard and eat them along with a beer.) We had a mustard we loved in Amsterdam recently and I knew it tasted very similar to the Thomy mustard that we frequently bought in Germany. I got the jar and it really does taste the same; mild but not too mild; more spicy than "cheap yellow mustard" but not as spicy as hot Colemans or Chinese restaurant mustard. Very good on frankfurters and bratwurst, which we love for cookouts. If I get ambitious, I'll make bitterballen for my next party and get plenty of this mustard to go with.

Use this mustard brand in many different German recipes. Very good! Used to buy in the tubes, but this size is more economical and easier to get all the product out of it.

Short and Sweet. For all you folks who want to talk and talk. Fine. This the stuff. German Mustard. On the brats. Done. Do it. I was there. Military. Germany. Wow. Buy it, or don't. I don't care.

I literally ordered this to get the “glass” jar that showed in the picture. (Long story) but it arrived in this “jam” jar. I cannot return it, so we will be using it.

Buyer beware! If you’re buying for the jar pictured this isn’t going to be the one you receive. I love the mustard but I can buy it locally, just not in this jar. I requested a return, had to go thru Amazon customer service and received a prompt reply from the seller. Agreed to a partial refund for product and all of shipping, if I kept the items. Positive is that the mustard is very tasty! Sad I couldn’t get the jar to go with the others I have…kids are going to have to decide how to divvy them up!

This is the original blue Thomy mustard, great taste, same product as is sold in tubes. But you get a nice juice glass with it.

This did NOT come in a reusable glass cup like the picture and description shows. It came in a jar with a screw cap lid. To be fair, it seems Thomy has discontinued that style— which is a shame because it goes against the culture of Germany and has every Oma shaking their fists… but still! To not update the new packaging is deceptive and deceitful of the seller. To which, neither of my requests for returns or refund were responded to nor acknowledged by the seller nor Amazon. It’s a good thing the product is top, but had I known this packaging change, I would have saved myself the money and bought the tube form instead!

Now,despite the picture of the tulip glass,it comes in a screw top bottle . Same good mustard,but it does not come in the same tulip jar.
