While these little gems are really effective because they (a) do the job of allowing a small increment, (b) are made well and will likely hold up over a long period, and (c) are magnetic, they are rather pricey! I ended up selling them with other equipment when I was moving. I really liked them! I bought these to attach to my Powerblock dumbbells which are great but for some reason, each 10 pound increment allows you to increment 2.5 or 5 lbs but then jumps directly to the next 10 lb selection. So, for example you can do 20, 22.5, 25, and 30. When doing a dumbbell bench, that means you're jumping 10 lbs which can be too much. The only reason I knocked off a star is the original version I owned, they had 3 smaller separate strong magnets on the back side of each one. More than strong enough but still easy enough to remove. This new design, the entire circle is a big magnet on the back. They are nearly impossible to remove! I have to attach them so only half of the magnet is in contact with the metal of the dumbbell. That way I can more easily get a good grip and remove them without too much struggle.
