I live in Arizona and when we first moved here I couldn’t understand why within a few days my brand new box of brown sugar gets hard as a rock. Well it didn’t take long to figure it out. I was tired of repurchasing brown sugar only to have it harden up again. It would harden up so bad that I couldn’t reconstitute it or make it soft again. I used my microwave, used a wet paper towel, I even used a mallet to break it up. When I purchased this I truly believed I would have to start out with a brand new box of brown sugar as I didn’t think this would soften my already hardened box of it. Thankfully I was wrong. I managed to put the rock hard “bolder” of brown sugar in the air tight container and after soaking the disk in water for 15 minutes I put the disk into the container with the brown sugar. I closed it up and the next morning my brown sugar was literally fluffy and fresh as if it was just purchased. I really didn’t expect that, at least not to the extent it did. This container is such a money saving tool and I’m so glad I purchased it. The size is perfect, as it fits the standard size box or bag of brown sugar. I definitely would recommend this to anyone looking to keep their sugars fresh

I could never keep my brown sugar from drying out. My mom told me to purchase this and I was still skeptical. This container rocks! The sugar stays soft and moist in this air tight container. It's so easy to use~ just moisten the terracotta disk and bury it into the fresh bag of sugar. You can keep opening it for use and it continues to stay fresh. Durable and well made! Sugar stays fresh and doesn't fall out so no more need to double bag your open sugar bag or box! Easy cleaning, innovative design and a secure place on the lid to store the disk when not in use. The bottom of the thick plastic even has feet to keep it in place and sliding around on the counter. The compact container is easily stored without being bulky and taking up a lot of room. Keep it out...it is really a pretty piece!

I like everything about this container except how hard the lid is to open. You have to grab it by the grey locking mechanism and pull. You can tell that piece of plastic was t designed for that purpose, and I’m sure it’s just a matter of time before it snaps off because of this. Otherwise it works very well and is definitely airtight. Keeps my brown sugar perfectly soft.

I love these. I have them for my brown sugars (light and dark) and as long as you soak the disk once in a while the sugar does not dry out or become hard.

I live at nearly 8000 feet above sea level in the Rockies where the humidity is generally around 20%. Normally stored brown sugar is beyond hard. This works perfectly to keep it soft and usable. I particularly like the fact that the terra-cotta disc snaps into the lid so it's not down in the sugar itself, and that the combination of seal and snap closure keep the humidity in.

Bon produit. Un format parfait pour contenir un petit sac de cassonade. Il est recommandé de mettre la petite pièce de poterie dans de l’eau chaude durant quelques heures avant de l’installer dans le couvercle. Permet réellement de bien conserver la cassonade. Me gusto muchísimo! Este artículo es exclusivamente para azúcar morena (Brown sugar) que es la que se hace dura cuando le da aire, le caben 6 tazas de azúcar morena y las mantiene frescas gracias a el círculo de terracota que trae también se cierra súper hermético.

I put some rock hard sugar in this, (after soaking the terracotta disc) not expecting too much. Next day it was soft and petfect!
