Skylanders SWAP Force Sheep Wreck Island Adventure Pack

Popthorn is amazingly powerful for such a cute skylander. I would go so far as to say that popthorn is quite possibly the most powerful skylander currently available, even more than any of the Swap Force Skylanders. His survivability and damage output is absolutely insane. I have cleared every Bonus Mission on Nightmare Mode using ONLY Popthorn. The only area where Popthorn doesn't do so well is in terms of Burst Damage. He can't do more than 70 damage with any single hit, though he breaks that slightly with a charged up critical belly flop. Luckily this is only an issue on Arena levels that require you to protect certain items from enemies. Popthorn positively shines in every other situation. The sky diamond currently allows a player to skip the arduous process of grinding money for upgrades. Every time you hit the target dummies in the starting zone while the diamond is active it will drop a diamond worth 20+ gold. If you have a second controller you can have two Skylanders doing this at once and, since Skylanders share all money gains, double up on the cash flow. I've gotten a total of 50,000 gold with one use of the sky diamond, split between the two characters, using Popthorn and Grilla Drilla. It's a really nice way to power up Skylanders that you don't care to play if you want to have good characters available for friends on Co op mode. The battle hammer is decently powerful and the level is a good bit of fun. The figurines all look excellent and sport pristine paint jobs. All in all the pack is definitely worth the 20-25 you would pay for it.

My son has played all the skylander levels about ten thousand times at this point, so I was happy to see a few expansion packs had been made available to Swap Force. The Tower of Time Adventure Pack includes: 1.) Adventure figure - New in-game world (just set the tower on the portal and it will automatically upload the new level) 2.) 1 Skylander figure - Pop Thorn - according to his scroll, he hails from a race of creatures known as Pufferthorns. Often considered one of the cutest creatures in all of Skylands, they are generally quite timid and puff out sharp spines when scared. It is this ability that long ago led to the unfortunate legacy of being used as combs by giant trolls everywhere, being the sharp spines are perfect for brushing out tangles from their long, matted hair. But not long ago, one Pufferthorn took a stand. Tired of his race being used for nothing more than good grooming, Pop Thorn used his naturally thorny abilities to stand up and fight back against the giant trolls. Soon after, Master Eon made Pop Thorn a Skylander. And to this day, no trolls dare to comb their hair. 3. & 4.) Magic Power figures - Battle Hammer and Sky Diamond (used to help in battle and earn more money while fighting) Overall, this level is one of the more difficult skylander levels, but nothing too tricky. There's lots of puzzles that require perfect timing, but once you get the hang of it are easy and fun. As with other Sklanders games, we had a great time playing this.

The Magical Items in this pack are pretty good,where one distracts enemies, and the other conceals you and heals you a little bit. The stage itself is quite long, challenging, and a bit confusing at first. It is also a great level to gain experience, but if that is not enough, Sheep Wreck Island comes with extra battle arenas. It is worth buying. And don't let Wind-Up's looks fool you, he is a GREAT Skylander. He does quite a lot of damage and moves REALLY fast. Both upgrade paths are great too, but for me, the best one was the one that activate his Cymbals.

My son finished the game (on hard mode) in 1 month (with very short intervals of play!!!) which is at the same rate of Giants!!! LOL. Again the fun of this game is the search for all the figures, battle packs, adventure packs and special figures. I drag out the distribution of figures and pieces thru out the year until the next iteration. The small games are on par with Lumosity. My younger son just likes to play with the figures and watch the older play.

If you have not played Skylanders yet I would question why you are looking into this, cause this is usually not where you would start. If you have then I will say the level expansion was fun. I though they did a good job on the design of the level and i is a pretty long one so you are not just getting a small add on. The gem gives you extra cash from enemy drops and the hammer is just a hammer used much like the pick from Giants but on enemies. The character is an interesting one. He shrinks and becomes small and fast but with no attack. He puffs out and becomes a powerful attacker. would say the set is worth it for the gem and level itself. The other two are just bonus items.

Skylanders SWAP Force Sheep Wreck Island Adventure Pack opens another level in the game Skylanders SWAP Force like Tower of Time. Sheep Wreck Island is a fun level but it is a little short to me. Sheep Wreck Island also comes with a character Wind-Up and two magic items Platinum Sheep and Groove Machine. Wind-Up is a tech Skylander that is a little different then other Skylanders. Wind-Up has to be wound-up or he will slow down and move very slow. Wind-Up is a great character and in my opinion worth buying the Sheep Wreck Island Adventure Pack just for him. The magic item Platinum Sheep turns any character you are playing with into a sheep for a short period of time. This helps you go by enemies without fighting them. The magic item Groove Machine plays music that makes the enemies dance so you can go by them. At least that is what happened to me in the game.

They like the ones with standard characters in it, rather than this expansion pack. Seemed like a good idea and for $10, why not. They have more of these skylanders, than they know what to do with.
