Iron Giant Signature Edition Blu-ray

First of all, the film is incredible (no pun intended) and this disc presents it beautifully. Obviously five stars.This film and the disc menus are in English and played just fine on my PS5 without even a hiccup. I don't know what's going on with the packaging on this release. As people have pointed out and the many Japanese language reviews indicate, there is indeed Japanese on the back and spine. As far as I can tell, that's where it begins and ends. Despite the packaging saying there is a Japanese language track and Japanese subtitles, I can't find them anywhere on the disc itself. There are several other languages, including Korean subtitles, but Japanese was no where to be found on the copy I received. So, do with that what you will. You can enjoy this film, or you can be kind of freaked out that it was in some way intended for a Japanese audience, even though the disc itself doesn't seem to be localized to Japan in anyway.

Showed up in good condition. Case says for sale only in Canada, and has French wording as well as English all over it. (I assume for sale in Quebec) although it plays just fine in my PS5. Have not tried it in my other blu ray player though. Great movie an all time classic

Showed up in perfect condition, and plays on US players with no baked-in subtitles despite being a japanese copy of the movie. Picture quality and sound are great, and its still the same great movie i remember from when i was a kid.

Has Asian writing instead of English on the spine and back, but the cover is in English. Since there isn't a better version available anywhere that i could find, I just plan to keep it since it can still be watched in English. But a warning on the listing should be added so so many people aren't surprised.

I was hesitant purchasing this because of all the Japanese reviews; I was concerned this disc wouldn’t play in an American player. Don’t worry, it plays! The packaging may be Japanese but the film plays in English.The film itself is a masterpiece of Western animation.

One of the best films I’ve ever seen! I recommend it to everyone!
