Anker PowerConf Bluetooth Conference Speakerphone with 6 Microphones

My laptop microphone was not working very well, I needed a quick, easy portable device and chose this Anker product.It is great value, great connectivity to Bluetooth devices and has a very clear microphone and speaker. I am not disappointed with my purchase. Item comes with a free portable carry case.

Currently I am working from home, so I bought this device as I have to attend many conference calls.Using the bluetooth connection, the sound is fine, but the microphone disconnects in the middle of calls in many occasions, a big inconvenient if you are in a meeting (this happens both using Skype for Business and Cisco Webex).Using the USB connections, for whatever reason, my office desktop (windows 10) cannot handle the speaker. It works fine using a Chromebook.I contacted the Anker customer service, and they thought the device is faulty, but I did not feel confident with the process they suggested to exchange it, and the communication was slow: basically you receive a reply after 24 h, so when you have exchange 3 mails... is four days, with not a lot of progress. Finally, I decide to return the device using the Amazon return service.***UPDATE***It seems the problem with the mic is not caused by the PowerConf. I bought two phonespeakers of different brands and have the same problem, so the problem seems to be related with the drivers installed on the Windows 10 office laptop, that I cannot update, I was using.Anker customer service contacted me again and sent me a device, in order to try it again.I have used it with a Chromebook and my Android phone and it works very well, the people on the other side of the line hear me with no problem. It doubles up as speaker and the sound quality is good enough (much better than the speakers of the phone or the laptop).In addition, the size and shape makes it very convenient to take it everywhere.

Works really well with Microsoft Teams video calls and eliminates the dreaded echo. Works well with FaceTime calls on iPhone.For some reason hands free phone calls via iPhone are terrible and inaudible by person at other end. I’ve updated firmware and used the app to tailor call but still unusable.

Excellent product and sound quality but does not mute MS Teams automatically. I have used this for about a month regularly and it is fantastic - not having to wear a headset for long calls is a big improvement. Easy to setup, excellent sound quality but at least for me does not mute teams when you hit the mute button. Seems to mute zoom correctly but not teams. Of course the sound is muted but it doesn’t update the mute indicator which means people are not sure if you are about to say something. I would still recommend but I just don’t know why it doesn’t do something so simple - perhaps the product is not at fault - I don’t know.

Having bought a conference phone during covid for working from home I always had issues. Ending up on the headset most of the day. However upgrading to the Anker is a revelation, it works with MS teams with no issues and people tell me the sound quality is great and I can certainly hear call my end perfectly. It seems very well constructed with a high quality feel. It was on offer when I bought so very happy with the price and usual quick and easy delivery. So 5 stars for me. Great improvement for my home office and used 4-5 hours a day now.

Handy device to hold meetings whilst working remotely. Good sound quality and the multiple microphones are very clever

It is needless to say that the speakerphone is functioning amazingly. I am having my meeting conversations with utmost effectiveness. Both the speaker system and microphone arrays are absolute without compromises. I can't be more happy about it.As for the price, I guess the build quality and its utility makes up for it but somewhere in the price range of £70-£80 would make it a no-brainer and a must have for any professional trying to take calls on-the-go, at home (as with the current scenarios) or even in office (and make it a personal meeting space).I haven't tested the battery function since I use it mostly plugged to my laptop using the provided (really durable) usb cable but Anker being known already for their power banks I wouldn't second guess them over it.All in all, a solid buy from my perspective.

After about 3 years, I've decided I have had enough of this Speakerphone. Like many people, I bought this to simplify my life during the COVID Lockdown. It never really worked well, in my view. It's a combination of little things that have frustrated me over time.The two main connections were either via BT or a USB-C Connection. BT was really flakey, and lots of people reported poor audio quality when I was talking. Switching over to a physical connection helped but reduced it's portability. It also struggled a bit with the Mute capability, and it basically never sync'd with either WebEx Teams or MS Teams.I've recently switched over to a new Jabra, and the audio quality is massively improved. I'd go so far to say that you might even listen to music over it.I paid £79 for the Anker 3 years ago, and it's £100 now. The Jabra is about £120, so this Anker just isn't worth the money.

Excellent speaker. Le son est clair et suffisamment puissant. La connexion via bluetooth est facile et rapide. Fonctionne parfaitement avec Microsoft Teams. Le design est agréable et assez qualitatif au niveau des finitions. Seul bémol : il n'y a pas la place pour stocker le câble de chargement dans l'étuis fourni. Mais la boîte est pratique pour garder l'étuis avec l'appareil et le câble.

Great product especially during current 'WFH' environment.

This speaker has been a lifesaver for virtual meetings. The sound is clear and it’s really easy to connect by Bluetooth. We’ve actually bought more expensive speakers than this that didn’t work as well. I recommend 100% for smaller meetings maybe 10 people or less
