Never has Windows for Workgroups 3.11 booted so fast! It's funny say this, but using DOS with this as an SSD hard drive makes everything so fast. Your 386 will never be the same! Just make sure you buy one of these "Industrial" cards, because only they are designed to show up as a proper block device. The computer doesn't know it's any different from a regular spinning-platter hard drive. Review: Write errors - Was using this in a CF to IDE adapter card for an old 486. At first it seemed to work OK, but after using it for about a week I realized I ran into frequent write errors (where DOS would ask to abort, retry, fail). Retries always worked (probably wrote to another part of card), but this caused all kinds of problems that broke most of the software I was trying to use. Not all software is tolerant of intermittent write failures. These are old cards, so it may just be one I received had faulty storage. But I wouldn't buy this particular one again.
