I bought this as a Christmas gift for my 7 year old daughter, and she absolutely loves it and can't put it down. She is the type to want to do and come up with everything herself, very artistic, and loves history and historical looking things. This was perfect for her! Very good quality and beautiful study wood.

Works like a charm,The box does not like to do repeated notes, but has great sound quality and easy accuracy with the hole punch.

I loved this! I got it as a gift for someone who loves music. I transcribed a song and punched it out of the paper. They really loved it. The only downside is its a little hard to line up the paper at the beginning. It sometimes skips notes if the holes are offset.

My daughter picked this out for my husband as a birthday gift. So far he loves it, as a composer anything that makes music is interesting to him. He said he loves the tone and volume level as well as how easy and fun it is to use.

So this is really cool however they send 2 already made songs to punch out yourself which work great. However, the extra slips they sent me are thinner than the examples ones and when I made my own it doesn’t stay in place in the music box and ends up going off key. It sucks. Also, the strips go from C to C yet for some reason the music box itself in the the key of Ab. Like, what??? Would not purchase again, or at least send me the right sized strips, then I might actually enjoy it. I mean just look at the difference in the picture. It’s ridiculous.

mine did not work! shredded the paper instead of playing one note! seller has not responded to my attempt to return this junk! not happy update: 20Apr18: still have not gotten instructions for returning or obviously have not gotten a refund!!

Its a good gift, however, mine had a different brand label and was a little bigger than i expected. Not complaining since it looks nice. Its a little hard to wind and sometimes plays notes that aren't there if you wind too hard. The gramophone piece isn't connected to the actual box for the people who want to buy this. Overall its an okay product. Would recommend to other people, but a little tacky.

My daughter recently bought this as a goodbye gift at graduation for her band teacher. She opened it when it arrived, and she enjoyed it so much that I wasn't sure she'd actually give away the gift. She gave the gift away and her former teacher (teaching 30 years now) said it one of the nicest gifts a student has ever given him. Very unique and nice for the cost.
