SINGER Stitch Sew Quick: Perfect Portable Solution for Quick Fixes!
Just got my Singer Stitch Sew Quick handheld mending machine and I'm honestly impressed! Perfect for quick fixes around the house. I've already used it to repair a torn pocket and hem some pants that were dragging on the floor. At just $12.99, it's such a bargain compared to dragging out my full-size machine or paying for alterations. The compact size (2.25"D x 9"W x 7.5"H) makes it super easy to store in my drawer.Works great on lightweight fabrics like the package says. I love that it came with threads, bobbins, and needles to get started right away (just had to add batteries). If you're looking for a simple solution for basic mending without the hassle of setting up a big sewing machine, this little gadget is definitely worth picking up. Not for heavy-duty projects, but perfect for those quick fixes that always seem to come up!

Poor functioning; don’t recommend
This hand mender was suppose to be for small simple projects, but was ridiculously difficult to use. Other reviews said the battery cover didn’t hold the batteries in, but mine worked fine. The pressure foot is very strong, but not in a good way; it’s very difficult to lift without pushing the needle down manually - sometimes pinching fingers. The throat plate was broken or something because the thread got cut by the needle or the throat plate every stitch. It wouldn’t sew even an inch without cutting the thread. Ended up missing the return date so I kept the needle, threw out the machine, and invested in a standard sewing machine.

Okay
This did get the job done but with a lot of thread breakage. The compactness is hard to beat. It was difficult to use with precision

Still getting used to it
Still getting used to it using primarily for hemming pants

Why keeps skipping stitches in the thread falling out of the needle?
Two star cause it’s a handheld sewing machine so that’s cool, but it kept skipping stitches thread falling out of the needle and not that powerful

Met expectiations
I bought this item because I was tired of mending simple things by hand. I recently found that one of my jackets had a rather large hole in the pocket and I couldn't bring myself to stitch it up manually. This Singer portable sewing machine really did the trick. As other users have said, the unit that I received was the Turkish model. I was able to figure out mostly what to do based on the pictures in the instructions and the rest I deciphered using google translate. It did a good job at creating a nice even stitch. It wasn't very long before I had gotten the hang of using it in a nice left to right motion as intended. This thing runs on 4AA batteries. Since this is probably not something you'll use everyday, you may want to put some rechargeable batteries in there when necessary.I don't have any major complaints except, (1) I wish the seller had indicated that the Turkish model would be the one that I was receiving and (2) I wish the presser foot that holds the fabric down was able to be raised slightly higher. It's a bit difficult to get fabric under it. You need to do a little shimmy to get things where you want them.I'd highly recommend this item if you're doing a hem on some pants or a dress, or making some other simple repair. I'm a person who hadn't used a sewing machine since Home Economics back in middle school and I didn't have any issue making this thing work for me. YMMV.

Worst Amazon purchase ever
Zero stars would be more appropriate. This is, without a doubt, the worst performing and most frustrating item I've ever purchased from Amazon. It would not sew more than an inch without the thread bunching up on the bottom and then the thread would break under stress. I watched YouTube videos on how to best use this product. The procedure isn't complicated...it just wouldn't sew properly. This is another example of "You get what you pay for". $20 for a sew machine says it all.
