DUKABEL Long Headsets Splitter Adapter, Mic and Audio Y Cable - 4 Feet/1.2m

I purchased this splitter after a USB to 3.5mm splitter failed. Out of the box the cable felt durable and has a nice stiffness quality. The splitter worked as expected immediately with a headset and without installing anything extra. You should know I'm no audiophile, my setup is an entry level gaming headset, so I can't comment on any sound quality issues I can't physically hear (pops, clicks whining), however it has worked very well for my needs so far. I'm pleasantly surprised based on the few adapters I've seen on the market and the price I purchased this at. Pros: The 2 female 3.5mm jack connections are tight fitting and don't allow the connections to spin No static or cut out when moving the adapter Cons: N/A at this time I have owned the product less than a month so time will tell however

This thing is so cool! I can connect it to the lightning adaptor on my iphone 14 pro and i connect my studio headphones and rode microphone and am able to use auto tune app! It's so much fun! The product is sturdy, well built, and elegant. I am very happy and was so worth the investment.

Was having my doubts whether this was going to work when unpacking. Boy ! Works wonders ! I can now use my gaming headphones with mic by plugging in the stereo and mic jacks into the female ends of this adapter and just plug in the 4 segment male jack into my mobile phones , laptops , tablets and desk top computers. It makes my gaming headphones so much more versatile. The materials and construct of this product are sheer high quality and feel very durable. A great product that validates the claims in the ads. Highly recommended. I am now a new loyal convert to products from this brand.

I have not used this with a mic, but tried to use it with an "Aux" output, such as an earphone jack, to record sound from a sound system mixer. It doesn't work for such applications... just use it to connect a typical condenser mic to your smart device (e.g., iPhone). Mics provide a path for Direct Current that Aux jacks do not. Without that path, a smart device will not switch from its internal mic to the earphone jack, so you will only record sound with the internal mic. The Headset Splitter Adapter product is of sound construction and even has a small plug that will your iPhone case or wallet will not block. Since the earphone jack and the mic jack are each on short lengths of cable, large plugs will not interfere with each other. I expect it will work very well with a condenser mic or "headset" mic.

2/20/19 As seen below, I had given a low rating to this product before I went on my trip, as I could not make it work as described. When I returned, I found an email from the Marketing Director of DuKabel with a very nice apology for my trouble. He stated he would refund my money immediately and was shipping another cable at no charge to replace the one that was not working. I received that cable a few days later and discovered to my dismay that it performed exactly as the first one. I examined the cable as it appeared to be extremely well made and I couldn't work out why I couldn't get sound out of both sides. Then I noticed there are icons on the female ends...one headset icon...and one microphone icon. THIS CABLE IS FOR A MIC AND HEADSET. That's why I couldn't hear anything out of one side. So now I have two Mic/Headset cables that BOTH work perfectly! (Disclaimer - I am not usually an idiot!) So I have re-ordered a dual headset splitter from DuKabel: based on the two others I now own, I'm confident it will perform as expected for may years. THANKS, DuKabel! 1/24/19 I ordered this headset for an upcoming trip and hooked it up for the first time today, only to be disappointed that only one side works. The other side is DOA. I will be returning this, but the trip is tomorrow...so I guess I will do without. I will update this review after I deal with the company to return.

People who are giving this a bad review are not reading the description, nor looking at the pictures. This is NOT for 2 headphones or earbuds. This is for 1 headphone and 1 microphone, or a headset that has 2 jacks - one for the headphones and one for the mic. It takes the 2 jacks (sound and mic) and puts them into a single jack so they will both work in a single Headphone/Mic port. Mine arrived quickly and it works perfectly.

I ordered this because I use an aux cable for audio in my car, a standard 3.5mm. My wife has an iphone so she uses lightning to aux. My goal was to get a one in two out adapter so I could keep both, her cable, and mine, plugged in without having to constantly unplug one or the other and have them floating around the car. Basically, keep them both plugged in and use which ever I need at the time. Unfortunately either what I ordered was defective or the listing doesn't clearly state what the splitter does because only one side actually works for audio (playing music from phone to aux input on car). The other input doesn't send/receive anything. Not a huge loss for the price so I just tossed the thing in the trash and I'm back to square one. Hope my review can save somebody the disappointment.

I got these for the few times me and my husbund needed to watch something together. We finally had that time and were set up to watch a movie on his ipad that we could not watch on our screen. Only one side worked. We were extremely disappointed and I would not recommend. Unfortunately - it is past the return time when we finally got to use it so cant get another pair.
