French Conversation (Collins Easy Learning) Paperback – September 15, 2015

What I like best about this book is that it's so practical -- you're learning phrases, constructions, and vocabulary that you use on a daily basis; I also like that you're given 3 or 4 examples for each construction; finally, the fact that the constructions are repeated and recycled for use in different situations -- this not only reinforces what you've already learned, but it also makes good use of study time since you're getting multiple looks at a well-defined set of constructio ns.

This book is a compact reference for many simple syntactical patterns and much usage that would be very useful for a visitor to France. It cannot of itself instill habits of vocalization, of course, but as a supplement to a program of practice it could add a lot of support to a student's foundation. I don't think the book can be the sole basis for such a program, but it can become a good friend to someone trying to acquire spoken French. Yes, it fills a need.

This little book is great tool to add to one's French conversation course. Great realistic dialogues.Added to a course this book is very useful.

It's a good book for people who need some quick (mostly informal) phrases when they go to a French-speaking area. Not so good for formally learning French.
