The Hummingbird Card - The Ultimate Floating Card Magic Trick

This product comes exactly as advertised. Since I am not an impetuous child, I actually read the product description and knew what I would be getting. A have several decks of playing cards laying around the house, so I wasn't upset that the Hummingbird Card didn't actually come with a card. As a matter of fact, when using an illusion like this, you want to be able to use it with a card our of your deck or with borrowed objects like a driver's license of a club card.Anyway, I digress. The invisible thread is as close to being invisible as you can get. Even knowing it is there and being the one in closest proximity to the thread, it is almost impossible to see. The instruction booklet and DVD do a very good job of explaining how to fish out a single strand of the thread and prepare it for use (although the video instructions for this were much better). The techniques for performing the illusion are explained well both in writing and in the video and although I've never used invisible thread for illusions before, i was able to perform some very convincing (albeit very basic) "floats" with the card within minutes.I highly recommend this product. The amount of thread and wax you get alone makes the product worth it. The instructions are just the icing on the cake.

The media could not be loaded. My son has had a blast with this! It took a little bit of figuring out, but my newly 8 year old was able to learn how to work it within a day. It works as advertised. I will say, the thread that comes with it gets tangled fairly easily, but not sure how that can be helped. Really like it over all, but not totally sure it's worth the price.

Works as it should. Slight learning curve, but once you master it, it's pretty neat.

You get a very visible string , wax, two Jokers and a a booklet. This is so not worth the money.

I’ve owned a kit like this one two decades ago. It had much better “loser” thread so easier to extract the tiny threads, similar to what is shown in their actual tutorial video. Also the wax was packed without anything covering it so the thread was sticky full of melted wax. Sending it back.

My 8yr old just received this a few days ago. It comes with the wax and string. All you need is a playing card and you are good to go. He was able to watch the instructional video and do the tricks. It does take practice, but he loves it and has been having a great time. We've been treated to many magic shows.

the product is great, i highly recomend it. dosent take much time at all to set up, and its really fun.

I had to write after the review with the "spoiler." Firstly, a person that gives away secrets to a trick shouldn't be doing magic in the first place. Now, the trick is a solid trick that many people speak about, especially if they've been to Vegas. I've worked at a magic shop for a few years and it is a good trick to do when properly practiced. It's a great visual and the fact that you can hand the card to the spectator is especially effective because it can be done with any card.
