Works well. Fit with no issues. It did arrive with an internal corner slightly lifted up, but no big deal since it is inside and doesn’t affect anything. The front part is flat, so if you want to match the look of your laptop’s bay, you will need to swap that out. I just left it as is.

Flimsy but do the job
The fabrication is not as solid as I would like. The external part don't get flush with the exterior of the laptop (Latitude e6430s). Also have no way to lock in site but do the job.

I bought 2 this was a great buy would recommend for anyone looking to add storage to there system or just looking to speed up there system with an ssd drive.

plug and play in my nas with no issue
I converted an old Dell Precision 5040 MT to a NAS which, obviously, does deserve more hdd slots. Without adding any sata power cables, repurposing the slim optical bay is the least costly way to add a 2.5 inch hdd/ssd. It fits the optical caddy and cage (caddy and cage, right?) perfectly. Nothing is more satisfying than Plug-n-Play. PS: it also comes with four screws and a tiny screw driver to fix your hdd/ssd to the adapter.

This product is made of very poor quality materials and connectors not suitable for sata ssd's

Fantastic device. My laptops main onboard SATA controller failed, I was able to install, boot and run Windows with no problem with this device.

Installed this in place of the CD/DVD drive on my laptop to add a second SATA hard drive. The fit was perfect, and it was very easy to install. Works flawlessly — the system detected the new drive instantly. Great value for anyone looking to repurpose their optical bay into extra storage space. Highly recommended!

C’est du plastique assez fragile, pour changer le bord pour remettre celui du pc j’ai cassé un petit bout qui servait à tenir mais conforme à la description et une fois en place tout est niquel
