Amazing quality worth every dollar.
Honestly any bad reviews about this bag are personal preference because the bag is amazing. I’ve had this thing for about five years now it has been a life saver in the ber months, literally woke up in three inches of snow and didn’t even know it because we were warm and toasty inside, just got back from a trip torrential sideways rain/wind storm and our tent seams failed but we were warm and dry inside the bag. Getting it back in the sack is a work out and this thing is big and heavy but that’s because it’s warm large and comfortable and worth every fight to get it back in and the storage it takes up worth it we never leave without it. My significant other and I are large and tall people 220/260 and 5-10/5-11 we fit and have plenty of space we through it on our blow up mattress it has a little pocket which I love I keep my glasses in it or AirPods or phone all kinds of thiss the top is extended so the pillows can lay on the bag itself which is great. I will keep and use it until it’s no longer thriving and surviving and then I’ll buy another one. Stop hmmmin’ and hawing’ this is the one babe.

This thing is HUGE and warm, stuff sack could be a little bigger.
UPDATED REVIEW: I used this bag for 14 days at the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally in the Black Hills of South Dakota. The night time temperatures ranged anywhere from the high 40's to the high 60's at night. I was quite comfortable in this bag while sleeping in just a pair of shorts. I never intended to use it in any colder weather, I just wanted a sleeping bag that would keep my warm without having to have layers of clothing on. It did it's job wonderfully for me. As for the stuff sack. I was using my US Navy seabag, but it was still a struggle to get it into that bag as well. I have since purchased two 60 liter dry bags (I motorcycle camp) and by separating the sleeping bag into each half, it fits easily into the two dry bags. It is also much easier to pack on the motorcycle and carry each bag, instead of one large bag. First impressions, this bag is huge. I order this sleeping bag for a couple of reasons. One, I wanted a sleeping bag that would keep me warm without having to wear several layers of clothing, socks, winter hat, and a scarf. The weather I camp in, the temperature averages mid 50's at night, and may dip down into the low 40's on rare occasions. I've only had the bag a few days, and have tried it out once. It's warm, and I can sleep just like I do when I sleep at home in bed, no extra clothing required. So I give it a thumbs up on that. Two, I wanted a bag I didn't feel mummified in. I don't like the feeling of being wrapped up and confined when I sleep, this bag has plenty of room. I tend to toss and turn a lot in my sleep, and I don't wake up all twisted up with a zipper poking me in the back in this bag. At 6 foot 2 inches tall, and 180 lbs, I have plenty of room in this bag to sleep comfortably with room to spare. I motorcycle camp, and I pull a small trailer behind my motorcycle, so the size and weight of the bag are not an issue, but this bag is not for someone trying to be an ultra light back packer. It is larger than I anticipated when I ordered it, even in the stuff sack, but it still works for me. I can deal with the size for the benefits of warmth and sleeping comfort. I give it a thumbs up on this also. I had read the reviews before ordering this, and the stuff sack could be a little larger. Yes, I can get it back into the stuff sack, but it's a workout. Not something I want to try and do every time I go camping. Definitely not something I want to struggle with if I have to pack up in rainy weather. I have opted to discard the stuff sack, and pack it in my sea bag from days in the Navy. It works better for me, but the stuff sack is not a deal breaker by any means, I didn't buy the sleeping bag for the stuff sack. Overall, I am very happy with my purchase of this sleeping bag. If you want a large sleeping bag, that will keep you warm, has a very comfortable and soft lining, this is a great sleeping bag.

High quality, toasty, perfect car camping sleeping bag!!
We had a camping trip in the Rocky Mountain National Park coming up in the fall, temperatures were supposed to be in the low 30s, or even upper 20s. This was one the first bags we saw when looking around, and we just couldn't stop thinking about it! It looked so roomy, so comfy, so warm, and the idea of a double sleeping bag was very appealing, specially in cold weather. So we went for it! Well, since I'm writing this review, you can assume we not only survived, but it was a great choice! Here are our pros and cons from our experience in Colorado: PROS: 1. High quality: right when you take it out of the box you know it's a good product. The inside feels like flannel. Zippers and seams look strong! 2. Roomy: this thing is huge, I'm 6 feet tall, and both my wife and I could fit inside with plenty of room for another small person. 3. Comfy: I'm just going to say that there is a very thin line between sleeping in your bed and inside this sleeping bag, very very fluffy. The inside is similar to flannel, so it's not too cold when you get in. 4. Warm: I gotta say, before seeing this bag, my wife was skeptical we wouldn't be cold at night, but our nights were perfect, we couldn't wait to get to bed. We both slept with very light clothes and bare foot. Temperatures were in the low 30s every night. 5. Details: some details are worth mentioning... there are zippers all around, so if someone is too warm at night, you can open the sides to increase ventilation. There is a mummy hoodie that helps close down if you're still not warm enough. There are some velcros to prevent you touching the zippers or opening them accidentally. CONS: There are no cons!!! I would say there is actually one side effect to so many pros... 1. Size: well, as you'd expect, it's very bulky and heavy! But hey, how would it not be, right? Some reviews talk about being difficult to put it back in the stuffing bag, but we did not have a problem at all! Fold in the middle, stuff it all the way to the end, and then stuff stuff stuff the rest! It really (to our surprise) wasn't as bad as we thought. Bottom line is, amazing bag!! You won't be disappointed. Just don't expect to go hiking a 10 mile trail with it! :)

SO comfy, SO warm. Very hard to put in storage bag!!
This is an amazing sleeping bag! The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is it is extremely difficult to fit in the storage bag it comes in. If you're trying to get it back in the bag: don't try to roll it up like it originally was when it came. The key is to stuff a piece in then rotate, stuff then rotate, and continue that process until it's all in! It will be tight and it will take a lot of work but it eventually fits back in. Other than for transport the manufacturer says they recommend storing it outside of the bag between uses so it keeps its material/padding. My husband and I just don't use the bag and just store it under our bed/ in a spare closet. But if you are tight on space in your house/packing for camping trips and you don't want to work really hard to get it in the bag, I wouldn't recommend it. Other than storage, it is an amazing sleeping bag. The material is very comfortable. My husband and I (both average size) both fit in with plenty of room to spare. It has so much legroom and is probably ~2 feet longer than needed (I'm 5'5''). The top completely unzips from the bottom so it can be used as two blankets. Definitely keeps you warm. It got down to 40 where we were and we even got a little warm in the sleeping bag.

So super cozy and spacious
This is the best sleeping bag I have ever purchased. I will always stick with this company and their products and we slept like babies while it was 30° at night - every winter we camp in the sand dunes with all our family with the dirt bikes and side-by-sides, and the quads and night time gets very cold and it was amazing having a cozy warm bed every night because of this sleeping bag. Totally a fan for life.

We love this sleeping bag!!
2020 Updated Review - We've been using this bag since 2017. We have not had one problem with this bag. We haven't had any rips, tears or broken zippers. It's still like beans new. This bag is VERY warm which is great for camping in the Sierra's or anywhere it gets cold. We haven't had any issues with trying to stay warm since we bought this bag. I sure wish we'd bought it years ago. I do take a sheet when we camp at lower elevations and the temperatures are warm or hot. We unzip the bag and just use the sheet as a cover. When my husband doesn't go camping I get one of my adult daughter's or a grandchild to help me put it back in the sack. I'm a pro at it now. It's really not that hard once you know how to do it. Just watch and follow the video that the manufacturer put out. ORIGINAL REVIEW- I read what seemed like a thousand reviews for every sleeping bag under the sun. I really wanted a sleeping bag that both my husband and I could sleep in together... one that would actually keep us warm on camping trips. We've spent many a freezing night huddled up trying to stay warm... The reviews for this bag led me to believe this could be the perfect bag. When we went to sleep the first night of using this, I was pretty sure we would be perfectly warm all night. It's thick! This bag is really substantial. We didn't wake up cold once!!! We were comfortable all night long!!! In fact, it was a little warm when we went to sleep so we unzipped the bag and put the top down by our feet. This bag is heavy duty... I can't imagine getting cold in this bag. The baffles on the side by the zipper are a great touch to keep the zipper away from your skin and any air out. There is also a tab on the outside that folds over the zipper. It's a nice touch!! You can see it in my pictures. Some people complained about the neck area... There is a baffle there. You can actually tighten or loosen it. It didn't bother us at all. We just put our pillows over it. I don't think we even felt it. I've got a picture of that also. This bag is huge!! You are not buying this to backpack or even hike in a few miles. This is strictly for car/trailer camping. We could probably fit our two grandkids in the bag with us... Keep in mind that they're toddlers and we are not really big people. That being said, the bag is long. We purchased the Coleman "queen size air cot" this year and this sleeping bag hung over the end. But we're short so it didn't matter a bit to us. I'm sure if we had put the bag on the ground we'd of had a lot of room at the bottom. I think tall people would like this bag. As for putting it away back into the compression bag... a lot of people complained about that in their reviews but... We did it!!! First try too!!!! The key is to fold it up and then start stuffing it into the bag, turn the bag a half turn with every stuff or two and with a little effort and a tiny bit of sweat you'll get it in there!!! (There is a YouTube video from the manufacturer that helped greatly.) I really wish they'd make the bag just a few inches bigger... It would be even easier... But it can be done and we are retired grandparents!!!! We have recommended this bag to our kids and to several friends. It's a fantastic bag. I don't think you can go wrong getting this unless you are camping where it will be in 85°+ weather at night!!! Then you'll be too warm. But otherwise this is a really sweet bag!! We paid for this bag with our own money. No discounts or anything. No one asked me to say nice things about it... But I always read the reviews, always... So I try to leave an honest review to help others. I hope this helped you to decide. Happy camping!!!

I love this sleeping bag. (Updating for over 10 years of performance!)
Updated review in May of 2021 after owning for over 10 years! (Purchased March 2011) I stand behind my original review, and can even expand it further. I've had this bag out solo, doubled up with the wife, and in temps all the way down to -16F on an unexpected, freak event of a night. This bag has paid for itself so many times over I've lost count. It's still going to be too much when the lows are probably 45F or better, but hey, you can just unzip the top from the bottom and use one side as a blanket instead! I also recently picked up the Teton Sports Cascade double sleeping bag, and didn't even have to think twice. Have used that one this spring and plan on using for summer over dragging bed sheets and a well used blanket around. May have to zip the top off and use as just a blanket, but we'll see. Point being that be cause of the Mammoth bag, and a couple other Teton Sports products, I didn't hesitate to buy another one of their products sight unseen. Didn't feel I needed to based on experience with their products, their outstanding customer care, and their warranty to back it all up. Great gear that doesn't have to break the bank for some big directional name being put on it. Looking forward to the next 10 years with this bag, and the other gear I have from Teton Sports! -------------------------------------- Original review below: -------------------------------------- Spacious, yet still warm for one. With two, it's even better. When it comes to camping, one thing you can't skimp on is your sleeping bag. It needs to be comfortable so you can get some good sleep. It also needs to be the right specs for the weather you'll be in. I spent several nights in this bag recently, with half at or just below the freezing mark while the others were a little warmer. I think the warmest night was mid 40's, and to be honest, it got a tad warm. That wasn't a big deal though, and to be expected with a 0-degree rated bag. I will say I was by myself on this excursion, and slightly concerned beforehand that with it being a double bag it may not be warm enough. On the cold nights, I was very warm. Not one problem at all with it being so big. This bag fit on top of my queen mattress just right, and was never an issue. I crawled in, and within a few short minutes it was warmed up like a champ. I had a nice blanket between the bag and the air mattress, which helped insulate the bag from the air of the mattress. This bag would have been good down to lower temperatures easily. I would estimate 15 degrees, maybe 10, based on the warmth provided in the upper 20's. When the temperature at night was in the mid 40's, it got a hair warm. That's OK, I like it that way, but this would be too much bag for much more. For light winter, spring or fall (when the temps are chilly at night), this bag is awesome. For summer, you will roast. The quality is very, very good. To be honest, this bag exceeded my expectations. If only they made a similarly sized bag that was a little lighter weight for summer, I'd be a happy camper. If you take care of this bag, it will certainly last you a long time. Store it right, clean it right, and you will be very satisfied.

Still great after 10 years!
10 years later this is still in great shape! My husband & I use this several times a year. Its super warm & comfortable for the both of us. Im about 5'7" & he is 6' -there's plenty of room for us both. I love the built in pillow area & that you can sinch it tight on cold nights. It is big & bulky but shoves into its bag easily. Definitely worth it & way better than zipping 2 together.
