Great brush, my dog loves it - first brush that does not pull his hair
Definitely only for large breeds, maybe there's a smaller one. Good grip and does not pull hair. I have a golden retriever who's never been too crazy about brushing and I won't go into what happens if you skip a few days...This brush does not bother my dog, previous rake combs etc. would literally pull his hair from the root and he'd not tolerate it for too long. It does the job well, can collect a lot of hair so you don't have to clean it several times while brushing, and it's relatively easy to clean. The tips are soft and my dog thinks I'm actually playing with him. Seems pretty sturdy so far which is something owners with longer hair dogs will appreciate.

Fantastic Product!
Awesome brush for my Lhasa Apsos. We got two of them, dogs that is. Love it. The ends are not sharp. The dogs love it. The handle is super comfortable. Has lasted longer than all the rest of the brands I have tried and still going...

Great brush but pins pushed in after ~6 months
Together with a little detangler, this brush really works great for my Golden Retriever's coat. My only disappointment is that the pins sunk down into the rubber so they are no longer as long as the rest so not very useful now. I've had it since December and I don't brush all that frequently; maybe a couple of times a month. Very poor longevity.

Good brush, the pins are on the large side
It's big and the pins are big but that's ok too. I hae another pin brush where the pins are very fine.

More of a chew toy
I needed a pin brush for my medium double coated dog. The teeth on the brush are pretty far apart which gets rid of the really large tangles, but doesn't do much more than that. I now use a totally different brush to get the undercoat groomed. The handle is very squishy and seems to have gel underneath the top layer of plastic. Not surprisingly he got a hold of it when I wasn't home and ate the outer plastic layer and the gel that I am assuming was underneath. My mistake for not only purchasing a brush like this and leaving it in a container that my smart dog knows how to get into, but Conair probably didn't think about the actual being that this would be used on. Squishy plastic is a dogs dream. Conair should stick to humans. They seem to be better at that.

Good design for an old classic
I love pin brushes for dogs, but my last one was wooden and wasn't holding up too well after a couple of nights in the rain. The rubber also used to come out f the wooden brush. This newer design looks to have solved those problems. It's all weather design will withstand rain and it's very well constructed. I'm sure the rubber won't come detached from the rest of the brush. The pins are stainless steel, so it won't rust either.it also has a nice comfortable handle, this should help you brush your loved one even longer.

I bought 2 of these for my border collies. ...
I bought 2 of these for my border collies. Being a double coated breed these really got the hair out while they were shedding. The metal bristles are very effective but not too rough to cause any pain. Just be careful, one of my kids left a brush laying around and one of the pups got ahold of it and chewed up the handle. Its still useable but the gel inside the handle will get all over.

Strange handle
Brush was fine but handle was strange. Almost melted at room temperature. I was worried about toxicity and threw it away.
