This is different, and its very good...
I have given up with sleep monitor watches, as they typically fail to work as expected, or fail to work at all after a few months. BUT THIS IS DIFFERENT TECHNOLOGY, AND ITS VERY GOOD. After more than a year of use, this reliably tells me how my sleep was. I suffer from OSA, and it correctly tells me the times when that is worst, which I now know is accurate as it echoes hospital monitor data perfectly. Its ability to detect the three basic levels of sleep is consistently very good. There are some intelligent algorithms at work here, and they serve me well.

Fantastically useful!
I think this is quite amazing as I am a bad sleeper and knew I had apnea but of course had no idea how bad as the machines that are strapped onto you by medics have sticky pads to which I’m highly allergic (latex). Therefore it’s been impossible to do a proper sleep apnea test on me. I paid a company a £175 to send me a machine that I was supposed to wear for 2 nights but had to remove the finger attachment after 3 hours as I started getting the latex reaction. They therefore were unable to give me any conclusive results! Private sleep doctor wanted to charge £350 for same analyser so I didn’t carry on with that. Finally this marvellous piece of equipment tells me I have severe apnea so now I’m going to buy myself a c-pap machine and hope all my miseries of feeling so tired and my heart flutter problems will magically dissipate as I hear happens when you treat this serious problem. It also tells you your depths of sleep and the quality of it plus what your resting heart rate was and has many other features. Well worth the money!! Highly recommend!!!

Warning for Apple Health Users - Incomplete data!
Bought the unit because I wanted to have my Apple Watch on charge overnight instead of charging in the morning and losing a hour or so of data and based on the marketing material this says it syncs with Apple Health. However only after owning it did it truly reveal how 'poor' the sync is.First of all, sleep data - It uploads 'time in bed' to the Apple Health app, but it doesn't upload time 'asleep'. So any metrics on sleep time and averages are gone and useless. Time in bed is a useless metric. Yes, the data is available in the 'Health Mate' app by Withings (with even more detail like REM vs light); however it doesn't even expose the basic info like time asleep to Apple Health.Secondly, heart rate. Again this device tracks your heart rate overnight perfectly, and displays it in its own 'Health Mate' app, but it does NOT sync that data into Apple Health where your day time heart rate is from your watch etc. Absolutely useless. This issue has been reported for months when you search like Reddit etc, however sadly isn't listed on the Amazon reviews or product description. This isn't a setting or configuration issue; and Withings themselves confirmed this is the case that it's just not designed to sync that info. The devices does track other metrics, like REM, Deep, Light sleep as well as Snoring etc. This data Apple doesn't yet have in Apple Health so I can't knock this device for that. But in summary, if you are an iOS user and wanting all your health data in one place, I do not recommend this device. You'll end up having to switch between apps to view different data sets and lose the ability to track it and visualise it all in one place.Quite frankly, they should'nt be advertising supporting Apple Health if the only metric you get is 'Time in Bed' and not even the basics like time asleep.... Be warned.

Good output
This gives good output on the withings app that can also sync steps from your phone using Google fit and weight from withings scales.Good way to monitor with red green amber feedback each day and easy to view monthly summary. It is quite expensive though and if you switch it off at the plug it needs to recalibrate when you switch it back on for 10 minutes before you get back into bed so a 4/5 overall

Really interesting insights
I waited for the price to drop to a sale price as wasn't sure it justified its RRP... however this has to be commended for ease of setup and use. The stats feel insightful, although there is no real way to know how accurate it is being. Having used the product for a month, though, I can certainly follow my sleeping trends and can usually guess what my sleep score is going to be before I open the app based on how I feel! It's then interesting to know why that may be the case (lack of sleep depth/regularity/time to fall asleep etc). Not sure about the Sleep Apnea stats, which seem to jump about a bit (0 per hour one night to 9 per hour the next) but maybe that says more about my overall health?? As I said, it's hard to really know for sure!

Works really well
I have one on my side of a king size bed and it seems to cope with no problems. If my wife goes to bed first it completely ignores her (unless she rolls onto my side). Surprisingly it only picks up my snoring as well as I can see that it has not registered any snoring when I am laying there listening to my wife rattling the windows. The range of information is really useful so hopefully when I go to the Dr about my poor sleep I will have some hard evidence to show them.I also have it integrated into my home automation system so it detects when I get into bed and switches the light off and back on when I get out of bed (if it's still dark). It is very quick to respond as well so the light comes on as soon as i stand up.
