Nice cost-effective throwing axe
I’m new to axe throwing and was thrilled to find a solid and cost-effective option. It’s a great axe.

Thin bitted biter.
I am probably the only person to buy this for anything other than throwing. I bought this to use as an actual hatchet. I like the longer handle with the small head. It gives you a lighter weight with out sacrificing much swing power. The longer handle allows you to swing harder than it’s head weight would let on. The steel is decently hard. It stood up to chopping dry pine limbs without denting or rolling over. I removed the black enamel and the grind marks on the head are uniform. The handle grain was offset about 45 degrees from the bit. Acceptable for the price. Once the finish was removed and oiled, it became a nice handle for long use. I did rough up the area I hold to make up for the lack of fawns foot. I do the same with my tomahawks to great effect. The oval shape feels good in the hand and does not allow it to twist in your hand. The bit it quite thin. While it does stick into the wood more due to that, I prefer deep cutting hatchets. The long handle does make it more difficult to do single handed light cuts, but having more power in the swing makes up for it. My only gripe is the size of the eye. It is rather small and I worried it may not hold up long, but it has handled a few overstrikes without damage. My fear may have been unfounded. Overall, if you want an axe that splits the difference between a hatchet and boys axe, this is the ticket. Light enough to carry all day but heavy enough to cut whatever you come across cruising the wood lot. Would highly recommend.

Another Great Cold Steel Product.
Again, I can't say enough about the quality of Cold Steel products. The Axe Gang Hatchet is razor sharp, comes with a small rubber cover to protect the user from the edge, pretty much worthless as the axe is so sharp. Need to acquire some leather cover or something better and that is my only gripe. It is a heavy axe. Has an American Hickory Handle, and to top it off....Rick Grimes uses it in a few seasons of the Walking Dead. That is not the reason I purchased it. I just love Cold Steel blades. This will probably reside under the driver seat of my Jeep Rubicon. Never know when you may need to hack a limb off of something! Great for bushcraft or emergency situations. Compare this to an Eastwing hatchet for the price, which are also top of the line. BTW, I happen to carry an Eastwing rock hammer under the driver seat as well since my kids are rock hounds.

Great Axe
I'm a Cold Steel fan and this is a great axe for camping. Not too big so it doesn't take up too much space or weigh too much. Not too small so it's easy to swing and handles bigger logs. The only thing I don't like? It doesn't come with a guard or is one available for purchase. Still a keeper.

Don't underestimate this little monster
This may not be the most pretty little ax, but wow, is it sharp and effective. This is a diamond in the rough. Highly recommend it to anybody into professional, serious ax throwing.

Great ax
Great ax I bought it to use it as a ax for cutting wood and not a a throwing ax. It is well made and the handle was fitted good. The grain of the handle is the way it is supposed to be. It was 46% off which is a great deal. I wish I needed another one.

Insanely sharp, also A little longer than Rick Grimes Hatchet...
I recently acquired this hatchet that boasts impressive sharpness, surpassing my expectations in terms of its cutting power. Notably, this hatchet stands out as it is slightly longer than the well-known hatchet wielded by Rick Grimes. The extended length provides an added advantage when it comes to reach and leverage, enabling efficient and effective use. One of the few drawbacks I noticed, however, is its overall length. While the extended size has its benefits, I found myself contemplating whether some minor adjustments to trim it down would enhance its usability. A slightly shorter length could offer improved maneuverability and control, especially in tight spaces or when performing intricate tasks. Nevertheless, I must emphasize that the sharpness of this hatchet is truly remarkable. It effortlessly cuts through various materials, making it a reliable tool for outdoor enthusiasts, campers, and those engaged in woodwork or survival activities. The cutting edge maintains its keenness over time, ensuring consistent performance during repeated use. In terms of durability, the hatchet exhibits resilience, standing up well to rigorous tasks and demanding conditions. The handle provides a comfortable grip, minimizing hand fatigue and enhancing safety during prolonged use. In summary, this hatchet impresses with its exceptional sharpness and commendable length, reminiscent of Rick Grimes' iconic tool. However, the option to make minor adjustments to trim its length would undoubtedly enhance its versatility and maneuverability. Despite this minor consideration, it remains a highly capable hatchet that excels in various applications.

Decent
Characters are not engraved merely printed on the wood which I thought they would be carved into the wood... disappointed but not a game breaker doesn't affect functionality. However I do feel like whacking with it the right way will snap the handle. Head seems of good quality for the price but definitely get what you pay for its not too sharp either but that's a job for yoi. Overall Im keeping it for the wall and may throw it at my targets a few times. if someone were to break in or I needed to chop something and i was in a pinch itd get the job done. No sheath only a flimsy cover for the tip of blade ***update tip cover ripped fast but I knew it would not concerned Update*** broke the handle on the first day of using but we were chucking it hard at plywood expect to get a new handle or make one. Still happy with order.. It penetrated and would definitely do the job. Just as I suspected the character at the bottom started to wear off.

Great throwing axe
Bought this for throwing. The head meets NATF standards, but the handle is too long. If you cut it down to size (most people like the 14-15" range), it's a great throwing axe. It sticks in hard boards and cuts through knots with ease. My average score is up about 8 points since changing to this axe. This axe also has a sturdier handle than the Cold Steel "Competition Thrower", which means it's not going to snap on you. If you're trying to decide between the two, spend the extra money on this one unless you want to spend the time replacing the handle on the CT. (Darker handle in the picture it's the axe gang, lighter is the competition thrower)

Es ist nicht "flush", es hat auch die Gießspure an sich (you can clearly see that they just poured the paint over, spilled it over etc.) 3.
