It's Just What You're Looking For!
Provided you've read the measurements and product info, you'll get exactly what you read about. It's easy enough to install - the instructions regarding height to determine which piece to use were a little off, or at least unclear to me, so I made a wrong choice at first, but it just went to show how manageable construction was, it just took a minute to alter once I realized I should have used a different extension. It's super sturdy! That's the number one concern for everyone buying an at home pole, right? I've been climbing, spinning, knocking against it, whatever. It ain't moving. I don't weigh myself, but I'm not a particularly thin woman. And the spinning feature works perfectly as well! It took me a beat to figure that part out - the screws on the bottom are lower than you might think to look. But they're there. It's a fantastic product, I've held of buying a pole for so long because it's hard to be sure you'll get a good product, but this won't disappoint, I'm so happy with it!

Great product, horrible instructions
So far this has been great. It holds my weight when doing basic spins, climbs, and sits (I'm 150, so it's pretty sturdy) and I don't feel like it's shaky or going to fall. No ceiling damage. It is easy to put up and take down (less than 5 minutes), once you figure out how. The directions, however, are TERRIBLE. They read as if they were put through a translator software and the pictures are less than helpful. That being said, it was fairly intuitive once I figured it out. Can't speak to the DVD since I don't own a player.

worked great as soon as I watched them do it online
Received it a few days ago! Initial set-up took about an hour...thanks to my boyfriend trying to put it together without looking at the instructions. lolBased on past reviews I skipped the DVD and went straight to the youtube video--very informative, worked great as soon as I watched them do it online! I used a magnetic level to make sure it was perfectly straight. The height extensions were a little funky...my ceiling needed an extension between the two that were offered but with some tinkering we made it work.I will say that this is obviously NOT an x-pole. You're not getting quite the same quality for a quarter of the price, but if you just want something to practice on at home and don't want to drop $400 this is a good alternative. I have a studio nearby that has x-poles where I can practice if I need to, so I don't mind having this one at home. It doesn't spin quite as smoothly as an x-pole does, and would probably function best as a stationary pole. I primarily do spinning moves, and this works fine, it's just a bit slower. I'm definitely enjoying it a lot. It's sturdy as a rock and doesn't budge once you install it correctly! I have carpet and textured ceilings and it's holding up really well. Took it down when I was done using it (about 10 min to do) and plan on putting it back up when it's needed.

it's that bad. First of all
Honestly, I wasn't expecting that much from the pole- it's cheap, but I was hoping that it would withstand a few basic spins and pole sits.I do not feel safe doing a fireman spin on this pole, it's that bad.First of all, the instructions that came with the pole are a joke. I read this off of other reviews, so I was expecting it. Unfortunately, the pieces don't match with a lot of youtube instruction videos though, so setup took hours. The main problem happened during setup- depending on the height of the ceiling, you need to use one of the provided extensions. The height of my ceiling made it so the longer extension was too long, but the short extension was too short. I had to use the short extension and then use the extender within the pole to attach it to the ceiling. Since the extension is too short though, the pole felt really unstable.I thought, "oh well. It mostly fits. I'm only doing simple stuff, so no worries!"Did a fireman spin off the right and everything was file. Did a fireman spin off the left and the pole slipped out of place from the ceiling. REALLY scary experience. I've tried tightening the pole, but since the extensions aren't the right size, it just has never felt solid.Decided to return it, but I missed the return deadline. The seller won't even give a partial refund- if you end up getting this cheap pole, make sure you try to return it quickly if it doesn't work!If you want to practice pole at home, do yourself a favor and pay for something with a little better quality. This is just not worth it.

Not so easy to install.
I received the pole in a great amount of time (no issue there). It it awesome, it looks and feels great. It spins both ways and is holding up perfectly. I only rated 3 stars because the instructions that came with it were is a different language and it took me forever to find a Youtube video to help me install it. The installation was a hassle and almost made me damage my ceiling.

exotic stripper dancing pole
The pole is good other than the screw stripping out where you tighten the pole at the bottom to keep it from moving. Other than that the pole is great.

5 Star Stripper Pole! :) I love it!!
Great pole for the price thats on here. Very sturdy and heavy duty. The DVD that came with it doesn't show you how to put it together, it just an exercise DVD. Look up "How to assemble your X Pole" on Youtube and it shows exactly how to put it together. You WILL need another person to help you with putting it together. I thought I could do it myself and couldn't. I had to ask my boyfriend to help me by standing on the bottom part while I am on a ladder twisting the top part. Make sure it is 100% safely secure before swinging on it. I am 5'2 and 104 pounds and it works very well with spinning and crawling up on it.Just a warning, if you use the pole rotation a lot it WILL be hard to take down because it becomes stuck. Other than that, I love this pole! But beware, the box that it is shipped in says "POLE" on the front and back of it. So your neighbors will know whats up. It is shipped by FedEx and came a day earlier than the delivery date. :)
