Reliable, Stylish, and Built to Last
Lightweight, comfortable, and easy to size the Casio AE1200WH delivers way more than you'd expect at this price. Setup was simple, just a quick skim through the manual. The timekeeping is spot on, and it’s water resistant enough for everyday splashes and rain. Looks clean for daily wear but tough enough for work. Stylish, reliable, and affordable hard to beat.

Neat retro geek chic, remarkably accurate.
First thing to know: my example is extremely accurate. I don’t know if this is true for all examples, but after a week of wear, mine has no perceptible sub-second drift versus my NTP synced reference clock, which is astonishing even for a quartz watch, especially one this inexpensive. However, there’s a lot more positive attributes beyond functional accuracy: it looks good and wears well. Its proportions and dial aesthetics are extremely pleasing, especially in the grey bezel, faux-metal case combined with the rolled steel band. And the metal band is surprisingly good for the price point: I was able to easily remove links and adjust the band for an excellent fit, and it doesn’t pinch or pull at all (I have massively more expensive watches with bands that don’t wear this well).Last, but not least, the functionality of the watch is genuinely useful and well implemented. The two sets of time zone functions are very useful (especially if you coordinate between people across the globe). The stop watch, timer and alarm functionality is old-school Casio, which mean’s simple to use. Best of all, no charging, no winding, no software updates, no mechanical servicing and adjustments, it just works.Barring the apocalypse (where these would likely become worth a lot of guzzoline), these won’t ever be collectable, or a great piece of mechanical engineering, or seen as more than a basic watch. But that takes nothing away from the fact that Casio has made a fantastic watch. As a hobbiest watchmaker who restores antique and vintage mechanical watches (I’m talking restaffing balance wheels, positional adjustments, etc.) I feel like Casio deserves more recognition for making something this functionally excellent at such a remarkable price-point.Update: Yep, this watch (my example at least) is absurdly accurate, averaging just 1.9 seconds of drift per month. After 7 months, it’s running just under 14 seconds fast (versus NTP synced to USNO tick & tock). That’s 23 seconds per year, or under 4 minutes per decade!

Husband LOVES it
I recently purchased the Casio AE1200WH Series watch, and I must say, it has been a delightful addition to my daily routine! This digital timepiece combines retro charm with modern functionality in a way that’s both stylish and practical.First off, the design is iconic! The square face and metallic accents invokes a sense of nostalgia, reminiscent of the classic digital watches from the '80s. I went for the one with the black band, which I find exceptionally versatile; it pairs well with both casual outfits and a more dressed-up look. It's slightly chunky, but in a way that feels trendy rather than bulky.Functionality-wise, Casio absolutely nailed it. The multiple time zones have been fantastic for keeping in touch with friends overseas. The easy-to-read display makes checking the time, date, and day of the week a breeze—no squinting required! Plus, the built-in stopwatch and countdown timer are great for when I’m timing my runs. One feature that has truly won me over is the backlight. It’s bright enough to read the time in complete darkness, which is a game-changer during movie nights or camping trips where my smartphone light feels too intrusive. Also, I have to mention the unbeatable battery life; it’s almost like it’s powered by magic—months have gone by, and I haven’t needed to change it yet!For the price point, the quality far exceeds my expectations. I’ve received several compliments from friends and even randoms in coffee shops who seem to appreciate the retro flair of the watch. Overall, the Casio AE1200WH has proven to be durable, functional, and incredibly robust, making it the perfect companion for both my everyday activities and adventures down the road.If you’re looking for something that marries style with a healthy dose of practicality, this watch is a must-have. Highly recommend!

Worth more than every Penny...
$35 this is gourmet. The steel band feels quality, amazing suite of features for time, beautiful display. If you want to get someone a good gift (and maybe get them into watches) this is a 10/10 pick. Casio are the real budget kings of the industry

A Casio classic!
The watch is fantastic, although you're probably only buying one of these to mod it. Bracelet is loud and a nightmare to adjust, but it is a relatively cheap watch. All the features on it are very nice like the timer and the stopwatch, super useful. I find the watch to be pretty light on the wrist also. Totally recommend, just make sure to change that bracelet out ASAP, maybe even the plastic face as it scratches very easily.

Reliable and practical watch
I got the Casio AE1200 because I wanted something practical and affordable to wear daily. The watch has been really good so far - it keeps accurate time and the digital display is easy to read. It has some nice extra features too, like world time, an alarm, a timer, and a stopwatch, which I've found pretty useful. The build quality is solid enough. It's lightweight and comfortable on the wrist. The strap isn't fancy, but it's sturdy and hasn't caused me any issues yet. Also, the battery life is great—Casio says it lasts up to 10 years.Overall, if you need a basic watch that's reliable, easy to use, and doesn't cost a lot, the AE1200 is definitely a good choice. It does exactly what it's supposed to without any problems.
