Battery case is well made. The slide switch works well and does not stick when sliding it. Having the wiring in red and black makes for easier wiring. Batteries fit snugly so to make good contact.

Good set of AA battery holders for a wide variety of electronic projects. Batteries fit and are held securely. The wires are solid core and vinyl insulated. They appear to be well made and appear durable. About the only complaint that I have is that the contact resistance (resistance between contact and wire end) is about 0.15 Ohms on the positive end and can vary quite a bit on the negative end, from 0.35 to 1.5 ohms) due to the spring contact. With a dummy cell in place with a resistance of 0.05 ohms, the resistance from positive to negative wire was about 0.5 ohms for a single cell holder and 0.7 ohms for a 2 cell holder. That will add a little to the apparent internal resistance of the batteries. I'm not complaining. This is immaterial for most use cases and is expected at this price point.

Fast assertive good product

I came into possession of an old reflector telescope with a motorized tripod head. The original battery pack for 8xAA batteries was very poor in quality and the wiring was becoming touch and go with it. I purchased this pair to splice the connector to this battery pack. It was a simple process, great value for a pair, and all in all highly recommended. A little story. The telescope tripod has nowhere to place the battery pack, and the cable isn't long enough to lay on the floor or keep in my pocket. While operating the telescope the battery pack slipper from a notch I was keeping it on, on the tripod. The pack fell with enough weight and force it ripped one of the original cables off from within the battery pack. I began to remove the batteries when I noticed I could pop off a cover where the wires went into. This battery pack is very simple and well made for you to solder new cables to if they happen to rip off or suffer some other unexpected problem. I'm happy to report that because of that I was able to repair the wiring and not end up losing one of the two packs. That alone made my day and this product so much more worth it.

Cheap battery holders with maybe 20 gauge wire for a series connection. I wouldn’t draw more than a few amps without worrying about the thin wires melting the plastic. If you want the batteries wired in parallel there’s no easy way to do that.

Very happy with these units so far. They seem very good quality and durable. A great item to have if you have alot of mini & specialty lights using batteries I recommend these cases for solid replacement or new DIY projects
