Be organized and take your time. *by T***2 on Reviewed in the United States on April 19, 2020* So far so good on the 3300 mah battery swap and screen replacement. Getting the old one out was scary because I felt like at any second the phone was gonna snap but for some reason it didn’t. The YouTube guys make it look super easy but it’s not, LoL! Maybe after you do 400 of them and have the fancy tools? I used the free ones in this kit and the one for my screen. It’s only day 1 but so far it’s running awesome! New battery lasts way longer than the original 2000 mah or so... if you want to tackle the job yourself and save a ton of money I would buy this kit and just take your time. If you rush it you will break extra stuff and have to buy more parts and then keep your phone offline longer. Battery and screen took me about 4 hours because I stripped a screw and had to just walk away for a while. I rallied and got it out, LoL! I am missing a screw from the side that I felt it could do without. Amazon sells screw kits but I wasn’t waiting for one of those. I used my iPad and just kept pausing it to follow the guy making it look easy! Use a nice clean table and lay out the screws in the pattern they were removed. They are different types and sizes so remembering the type and size otherwise would be hard—-unless you have already done 400... I think you get the point. In a nutshell I’m super happy with the end result, and would do again if it happened. Speaking of that I just ordered an otterbox commuter because I know they absorb flat on back drops. The spigen I have on this phone did not and it shattered after landing on my hard wood floor which I never thought in a million years would crack it. And I mean it shattered not just cracked. Not the back glass either, just the front. Someone said try the spigen it’s thinner and it was but Ill stick to the commuter. Hope this helps someone. ### ⭐⭐ QC problems with polarizer layer in the screen assembly *by J***V on Reviewed in the United States on November 28, 2021* Replacement screen assembly included all the necessary tools, but no adhesive/gasket to secure the screen. Thankfully I had suitable double-sided tape to complete the repair.However, after re-assembling I noticed what I believe is a defect in the polarizer layer in the upper-right corner. This appears as a small triangle of pure white (ie: exposed backlight, no LCD matrix, with slight rainbow-like discoloration around it) approx. 7mm wide x 3mm high (imagine the corner of a book folded over). Based on my prior work with LCDs/screens, I believe this might be due to the polarizer layer being folded/cut during assembly. This white area obscures the upper-half of the battery-life gauge with a halo around the corner. I noticed this when I first powered up the phone prior to re-assembly, but everything else (display/digitizer/camera/home-button) worked.This is fairly minor, and I'm not going to bother replacing it /again/ for a phone for a child, but definitely a QC/mfg problem. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good product poor tools *by M***E on Reviewed in the United States on June 15, 2021* The screen it self was of great quality. The tools the came with it were completely useless and didn't fit any of the screws. So hopefully you have a set from before laying around.
