I was looking for a coat rack/ shoe storage system for my small laundry/ mudroom space and this was perfect. As a family of 5 we always have a lot of shoes, boots, jackets and hoodies for every season of the year living in Northwest Ohio. I needed something with a lot of hooks and shoe rack space and after searching and reading reviews I decided to go with this. I love the fact it has so many double hooks and two wide shelves for shoes. It easily holds 10 pairs of shoes/ ankle high boots and could hold more depending on how you arrange them. The "seat" is also a nice feature to allow for an area to put taller boots or bins for hats, gloves, etc. The assembly was fairly easy, but definitely requires two people. With the help of my 7 year old son (who is handy with tools and helps assist when putting things together) it took us about 1.5 hours to fully unpack and assemble. The pieces were packed well and labeled clearly. The instructions were pretty straight forward, but are pictures only and would have probably gone a bit faster if there were written instructions with each step as well (just a small complaint overall). If you have experience putting furniture together you shouldn't have any issues with assembly. A tip to help assemble faster is to have two allen wrenches (only 1 included) and two phillips screwdrivers (none included). Having two allen wrenches is the key since it's the main tool used for assembly. I've been using the coat rack for about 1 week now and it's working out great. It seems fairly sturdy, but I do plan on using the brackets to attach to a stud in the wall just to make sure it doesn't tip in case the kids decide to climb up on the seat to get their coat off the hooks. One last thing to say is that the company has great customer service. I had an issue with one piece during assembly (stripped interior screw thread) and they responded in a timely manner and resolved the issue to satisfaction. I recommend this product.

I own two of these hall tree coat rack benches. The first one was not enough storage, is why I have two. When putting one together just take your time. My wife and I put these both together. The instructions are easy to follow. They are sturdy, well made and don't feel or look cheap. An affordable price. One alone holds alot of adult and kids jackets and snow pants. A place to sit with the right height for putting shoes or boots on. Lots of storage for all types of shoes, and fits storage bins as well. I have no regrets on this purchase and recommend this hall tree for anyone looking to organize their entryway.

This hall tree is SO cute! The instructions were straightforward, but assembly does take a while. The wood is particle board with fake grain as expected. The only issue is that the wood bench cut did not perfectly fit where the screws lined up with the holes in the metal bars. We were able to force the board to fit where the screws went; there is a small overhang of the wood on one end (1-2mm) but you wouldn’t know unless you were looking for it. The bench part is fairly sturdy, but I would only recommend one person at a time. We did not anchor it to the wall, and we do not hang anything heavy from the hooks. There is a supportive cross of bars on the back bottom of the bench, and a screw sticks out; we covered this up so it wouldn’t scratch the walls. Also, the hooks are not screwed in; there are outlined holes where you must screw your own hole in. Overall, it’s a beautiful piece and very useful. Definitely nicer in person than I thought it was going to be.

The finished product is beautiful but the time and effort to get there leaves much to be desired. The instructions are clear yet very vague if you’re not ACTIVELY paying attention to what you’re doing. I really mean study the page you’re on and get only what you need for that section. The problem I had was even though I was down right meticulously anal about my setup and putting it together I still had to reach out to Amazon for a replacement. Someone decided to put two right sided pieces in the box. Although labeled properly it was the wrong piece and by this point I’m 3/4 of the way done with the assembly. The instructions say to reach out to the company but had NO contact information and I couldn’t find them here either. I had to have a whole new box sent back out, dig through the box, and hope that the piece I needed was in there. Then I had to process a refund request just to have the replacement picked up. The rack is beautiful made, the pieces are sturdy, and look for the most part matches it’s value. However it was not worth all the effort, time, and energy.

Loved this coat rack. It’s very large and spacious with numerous hooks. Definitely sturdy. Would recommend using the back support to keep the top of the shelf from tilting because that was one thing I noticed can happen if it’s not supported to the wall. It was daily east to assemble and love how you can easily take apart into two pieces for quick transport. Like I said it is pretty big so definitely measure your space before purchasing.

I’ve had this shoe tree for 11 months and it’s still sturdy, still looks great! We load it up with bags and coats, and although we didn’t attach it to the wall (our baseboard heaters make that impossible), it’s very stable. My 5-year-old stood up on the bench to reach her jacket the other day and it was completely stable. Assembly was not too bad either. I did most of it myself in an hour or so while 6 months pregnant) with some help lifting it upright. As I recall, the instructions were pretty clear. The bench part is really useful and it looks attractive too! It’s faux wood, yet it does not look tacky and matches some of the wood in our living room. Our house doesn’t have a coat closet or mud room, and this was exactly the solution we needed to store coats, shoes, bags and umbrellas by the front door. It even held the whole family’s heavy winter coats with no problem. There’s also more room for adult-sized shoes than most other shoe racks we looked at. I’d say it fits at least 8-10 pairs of adult shoes, more if some are kids shoes. Definitely recommend!

I live in a small duplex with very small closets and nowhere to hang coats. I looked for over a month for a hall tree/coat rack and finally decided on this one because it was a good price and I liked the look of it. It is better than I expected. It looks great and functions for exactly what I need. I have it right behind my door and have gotten so many compliments on it. It took about an hour to put together and all the screws and things needed came presorted and labeled to make putting it together easier. I have several of the hooks used with coats and things, and it is sturdy even without the wall mounting brackets which I can't use because I rent. I love the bench as I have all my gloves and scarfs in a basket there ready to go. I can put 8 pairs of shoes on the bottom two shelves but I have big feet (size 11) so you could put more there if you wear smaller sizes. Overall, very happy with my purchase and would highly recommend to other people.
