Handles tougher steel downspouts with ease and aluminum without a sweat. The 3 finger over 2 finger configuration is the way to go and pleased as punch at the time & aggravation these saved me. These are so well build I actually just enjoy looking at them and admiring the engineering that went into this crimper. Am looking for other ways of using these crimpers. If you believe time = money, you will come out ahead vs using needle nose pliers to crimp gutter runs. Quality tools are not cheap! They are sharp so practice a little before you dive in so you get a feel for the amount of pressure you need to exert to crimp, NOT CUT. Great for stove pipe as well.
