quart size bags (20-pack)

The bags work with the OLD sealer unit I have. I but three boxes at a time, and when I am about to exhaust my supply, I search the Internet for places that have the bags. One site that I would have used would not accept either of my credit cards and had no obvious method of contacting them.

My wife is a gourmet chef and loves to prepare and freeze food products purchased in bulk (e.g. chicken breasts, pork chops, 80/20 ground beef) as well as extra dinner entreés to be defrosted later. The sealing mechanism and separate plastic enclosures work perfectly. Seal-A-Meal is perfect both for large families and for those who cook for only one or two people. Just reordered more bags. This will be an excellent holiday gift for several family members and friends.

These are great bags. Great value.We have used them to freeze meats and haven't had an issue.Depending on what you use it for, you can reuse the bag again.Good thickness as well. I haven't had any punched although I haven't sealed anything that could poke a hole.I've eaten chicken, steak and groundbeef taken from these bags and it tasted fine. No freezer burn.I don't have any complaints and will definitely be purchasing these bags again.

I have a seal a meal vaccum sealer and the quart size bags are just the right size for my needs. I generally use them to freeze vegtables and meats (raw and cooked). I have also used them to freeze spaghetti sauce, which I pre-froze. I hand wash and reuse them. They say they are boilable and microwavable, but I have not used them this way. So far I've gotten 4-5 uses out of one bag. I will keep using them until the are too small to seal.

It keeps the food fresher longer in the freezer. I mostly use it for meats and for breaking up large packages of frozen vegetables. The quart size is great for serving sizes for two people and is much more economical than the gallon size. I don't use it for foods that aren't going to be in the freezer very long because it is too pricey for that.I can think of some other uses. If you are going to travel, you can seal items that might leak. It is also effective at sealing in items that have a high odor that you want to mask, like cut up onions. You don't have to use the vacuum feature either; for some items that are squishable, I just use the seal feature.

I bought this product because we are microwave cooking only while our kitchen is being totally remodeled. I don't have pots and pans available to me nor other cooking vessels so I decided to see whether these bags would be a useful substitute. They're perfect! I'm able to cook vegetables in them which is the primary reason I wanted them. I don't have a Seal-A-Meal machine and simply tuck the open end under the bag when cooking. I am so glad I gave this a try. Perfect in a pinch!

I am thrilled with my Seal-A-Meal quart size bags! I am finally able to take advantage of buying larger quantities and saving (freezing) part for later and have it - voila - just as fresh as the day I saved it! And they're great for left-overs, also.
