As an unexpected bonus, I tried it under the floor mat by my kitchen sink, and to my surprise, the mat no longer slides around. That alone has made daily life a little easier and safer. Overall, Ready America Museum Gel is a simple but incredibly useful product. It's affordable, versatile, easy to apply, and effective at preventing everyday shifting and tipping. I purchased this museum gel to help secure some of the breakable items in my kindergarten classroom, especially my lamps and other decorative pieces. It was incredibly easy to apply, and I love that it’s clear, so you can’t even tell it’s there. Everything stays securely in place, which gives me peace of mind knowing curious little hands or an accidental bump won’t send something crashing to the floor. It holds much better than I expected without making anything look messy. One of my favorite things is that it’s removable, so I don’t have to worry about damaging my classroom furniture or decor if I decide to rearrange my room later. It keeps my lamps and other fragile items stable while still allowing me to easily lift them if needed. As a kindergarten teacher, safety is always a priority, and this product helps make my classroom a little safer while still allowing me to decorate the way I envisioned. Overall, I’m so glad I purchased it and would definitely recommend it to teachers or anyone wanting to secure fragile items without a permanent adhesive.

I was skeptical at first because of some of the negative reviews, but the cost wasn’t that much so I decided to give it a try. FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS and you’ll be happy with the results. It is not designed to use on anything that is not considered “waterproof” so don’t use this on pictures or a wall or any surface like a wood that is not sealed with varnish. It was easy to use and works really well to hold my miniature village pieces in place. I kept having some removable pieces fall off of my Christmas village buildings and some of the small figures falling over so I followed the instructions and waited an hour before I gently checked it. Then I waited another 24 hours and gave it a firm shaking, and I was surprised at how well it held the pieces in place. NOTE: It is not sticky to the touch, but it will sort of melt into the shape of the piece that it’s holding and then it will bond within about an hour. I would recommend using this product

This gel worked for some things, but not for others. It isn’t sticky, but holds ceramic and glass things in place on flat surfaces. Negative: The gel spread out and left an oily stain on the wooden trays I had things displayed on. I used this product to hold small Christmas decorations in place on a decorative tiered tray which was placed on a table. Upon removing the fastened decor, the stains were noticed.

I have twin toddlers!! Feral is an understatement. They can push boundaries to test a parent HOWEVER they can not just casually pick up my lamps for a dual with each other anymore!!! They have a time trying and easily/quickly their attention span changes course. Buy this product!!!! I bet it is great if you have a cat. I have tried every time of sticky tape. I will never go that route again!!! Pulls up with no residue like sticky tape. No breaking out a scraper or goof off.

This product is easy to use and remains crystal clear however it creeps over time and does not do a very good job at holding things in place because of this. It also has very little tack to it so it doesnt really grab whatever it is you’re trying to afix. I bought this specifically to hold Lego models in place and initially tested it on a few bricks to make sure it did not discolor the plastic, which, after several months it has not. But because of its liquid like if you were to roll a bit of this into a ball and let it sit it’ll eventually melt back into a very flat puddle. It also means that can get into things and is very difficult to remove, such as down between crevices if there are any. A larger bit of it can be used to grab and pull out material though as it sticks to itself pretty well in most cases.

I've used this stuff for years. It works so well. Apply anywhere you want something to stay put. Just a note - it will 'spread' and flatten over time - so you want to use as small amount as possible. It is clear and feels like a thick gel. Easy to scoop out a small piece, roll into a ball and put under whatever you want to stay put. Having said all of this, I never hesitate to update my reviews should new info seem useful. I bought this primarily to keep drawer organizers from sliding around. For that, this works fine, and probably deserves about 3 - 4 stars. It spreads/puddles out over time beyond the borders of where you place it. This is foreshadowing. I made a scrapbook of 20 years of cherished concert memorabilia- ticket stubs, programs, autographed CD covers. I was terrified of damaging them with tape, so I tried little dots of this gel at the corners to keep them in place in my book. It worked, but when I went back to it later, I was horrified to realize that this left greasy oil stains all over them. Beyond where I even put it, because it puddled. The stains are likely permanent. Please learn from my mistake and don’t use this on anything you care about, ESPECIALLY paper. This gel has the consistency of putty, isn’t sticky, and I hadn’t noticed any staining on the furniture where I used it, so I thought it would be okay. It may not be the end of the world, but I’m gutted about it. I kept my mementos in great condition for 20+ years until I decided to try mounting them nicely with this gel. Knocking my rating down to one star for irreparably damaging irreplaceable mementos, and in hopes that people are more likely to see this warning when checking reviews.

La adherencia que tiene este producto es espectacular. Lo hemos comprado porque tenemos gatos y bastantes figuritas y jarrones por toda la casa, así que al buscar una opción para prevenir accidentes, nos ha aparecido esta masilla. Es un gel transparente, no es pegajoso a la hora de manipularlo, y basta una cantidad pequeña para fijar objetos bastante pesados. Lo hemos usado con algunos floreros y decoraciones, y nos ha sorprendido su eficacia. Puede parecer caro, pero merece muchísimo la pena por lo práctico y util que es y la cantidad pequeña que se necesita incluso para objetos grandes.

Anfangs war ich etwas skeptisch, da das Museum Gel nicht sofort extrem fest wirkt. Gibt man ihm jedoch etwas Zeit und lässt es ein bis zwei Tage auf der Oberfläche, hält es sehr zuverlässig. Auch bei leichter Deko merkt man dann deutlich den Unterschied. Besonders praktisch finde ich, dass sich das Gel rückstandslos entfernen lässt und anschließend einfach wieder in die Verpackung gelegt werden kann. Dadurch ist es sehr langlebig und mehrfach verwendbar. Gerade mit Kind eine große Hilfe: Deko und leichte Gegenstände lassen sich sicher fixieren, ohne zu bohren oder bleibende Spuren zu hinterlassen. Für mich eine einfache und flexible Lösung, um Sicherheit und Deko gut zu verbinden.
