Bow nice, accessories not so much.
Shot the bow one time after assembling. Shot high and to the right, as expected. Attempting to pull it back for a second shot later that day, the rope cocker broke at the hook, at half cock. This caused dry fire and caused the rope cocker to go flying. We’re lucky no one was injured. Will update on the bow when I buy a new rope cocker. I hope this isn’t a sign for how the rest of the bow goes. Edited Review: After buying a new pull cocking rope and trying again, I am updating this review. The pull rope breaking was very unfortunate and painful, but the bow itself shoots exceptionally well. I got it sighted in with 5 shots. Lubricated the string and rail and I’m grouping less than 2” at 60 yards. This bow will definitely be putting food on the table this year.

Killer Instinct is Killer Fun
This is my first crossbow. I am so completely ecstatic about this crossbow! It wasn't too difficult to assemble, I just took my time in doing it. I mean, with something that shoots this fast, you want to make sure everything is put together right and tight. Was pretty nervous about the first time cocking and shooting it but it didn't take anytime to start really being able to enjoy it. This Boss 405 is so amazingly fast! Watching my son shoot it, I could only see a flash of the bolt flying through the air. It is a little heavy on the front but for what you pay for this thing, build you some muscle. It's really not that bad. My son and I are not muscled up brutes and both of us are enjoying the heck out of it. Speaking of that, if you want to connect or reconnect with a son or daughter, I highly recommend this. Once I got it put together, we literally spent a couple hours outside in the backyard shooting the target. We probably shot it 50 - 60 times the first day. So much fun! We do have plans on buying a crank to cock it just because he would feel more comfortable cocking it that way. I'm 6'3 so I had no problems using the rope but if your shorter, you may need to adjust the knot in the rope to be able to cock it. Overall, super satisfied! Oh, when reading the reviews, don't let the one or two stars scare you away from this crossbow. I mean, with as many that are made, I'm sure there is always going to be a lemon here or there. Anyway, buy this thing, you will be glad you did!

Never again
Huge disappointment for this crossbow. Got it in and assembled and after 2 shots the pistol grip fell off. Customer support took care of that by sending a new stock got it in and sighted it in then after roughly 15 shots a limb cracked. Again customer support sends me the limbs and I had to find a shop to put them on which came out of my pocket. Now after 2 hours of being outside the coating on the limbs had crumbled and flaked off. Not worth the headache I've had with it. Others seem to have had better luck but I unfortunately have not. Contacted the seller and they told me to contact the manufacturer because they can't do anything about it. Won't buy from these guys again. Its on the heavy side to me. Fairly accurate and really powerful when its not broken. Overall my opinion is spend a bit more and find something better. It comes with a lifetime warranty and for me I'm already having to use it more then I should. Not sure what will happen with the limps peeling I just reached out to customer service about it today to we will see where that leads.

ALMOST gave it 5 stars...
Ok so this crossbow is my first one, so I am not a crossbow connoisseur. However I am a combat veteran with plenty of experience shooting at stuff. This thing is SO DEADLY ACCURATE at 20, 30, 35, 40, 45, and I even managed to hit kill shots at 50 yards with some consistency. It is light, and easy to maneuver. The bolts and crossbow feel very quality. I only have one single complaint. That buttstock is TRASH. When you get your crossbow, rip that stupid thing off and throw it away. Get yourself any standard AR15 buttstock and it will work better than that stock one. It would not hold position during a shot, and was insanely hard to adjust and suspend. it's literally the cheapest buttstock I have ever seen. It's not that big of a gripe seeing as how it's cheap and easy to mitigate. It's also hard to be that mad at a budget crossbow that is just SO DAMN GOOD. Overall I'm very happy. I just hate hate hate the buttstock and I wish they'd send me a different one that could actually do what a buttstock is supposed to.

Easy to use for a 50 yr old hunter. Could be happier
This is my second crossbow within 15 years. The scope is perfect for my 50 year old eyes! I absolutely love the scope. I had gone through 3 scopes in my Barnett due to my older eye site and none of those compare to this scope for me. There's only 2 things I can complain about. The first one is the butt stock is loose fitting, secondly the safety switch is loud. In addition to the safety, the trigger has a long pull before it releases the bolt compared to my old Barnett crossbow. As far as accuracy, it's spot on. I use budget bolts so I take the time to tune the nocks by rotating them 120 degrees until I find it's happy spot, and weigh each bolt to ensure every bolt is matched and balanced within 5 grains of each other. I've found that the heavier the broadhead or field tip, the happier the bolt and more accurate. So accurate I've split a few arrows at 30 yards. My bolts are between 410 to 415 grains with total weight. I had lighted nocks that weighed around 25 grains on them but discovered knocks that are about 12-15 grains work better than the lighted nocks I bought which are about 25 grains. So the take away on bolts is, light tail heavy tip. Make sure you register within 30 days to receive a full warranty.

Almost Perfect
I didn't know anything about crossbows. I did a lot of research and this seemed the best bang for my buck (literally). Assembly was pretty easy after watching videos on YT. The only complaint I have is the difficulty loading it. It takes a lot of strength. Luckily I'm pretty strong. Great quality product. It is amazing how powerful it is. I shot through a 2x4 piece of lumber for my first shot and it went right through. The arrow got stuck and broke but I was pleased with the sheer power. Other than the loading aspect, I'm very happy.

Great bow Great price.
Great bow for the money. It is very solidly constructed, consistent, accurate, fast and hard hitting. 3 shot average (393, 401, 397 over the chrono) of 397 fps with 370 gr bolt and 100 gr broadhead. This is an average of 164.5 foot pounds of energy which is plenty for any type of game in North America. These are numbers on par with high end bows in the $1000 range. Only cons are that its a little on the heavy side when fully equipped and takes some real strength to cock. This is a 220 lb draw crossbow so using the included string cocker (-50%) you are still physically pulling 110 lbs to full draw. It will be difficult to draw for younger of smaller framed people. Also the included scope is usable but very basic and needs to be upgraded. This really is a great bow in my opinion. It is very accurate very fast and hits hard.

Bring out the instinct in you!
I’ve proficiently used archery equipment for years now and this is my “starter” X-bow. The assembly was not too difficult, would’ve been easier with a “T” handle allen wrench. The shipment packaging was good, no major tears or holes and the factory seal was on the retail box. I’ve run about 30 shots through it so far and this thing is quite impressive. I use the included bolts as yardage markers, the weight is too light for my liking. Using 20” Carbon Express Pile Driver bolts with 125 grains on the point, roughly 467 grain total weight. I must admit it packs a wallop that will surely do the job effectively. The included scope, though it works, has some shortcomings. The smaller cap screws were cross threaded and are not perfectly aligned. The reticle has a small cant in it but is manageable. Aside from that, it gives me an excuse to buy an upgraded option. Overall, I am very impressed with it, by it, and highly recommend it.

Mauvais service

Killer Instinct MSCKI-1104 Boss 405 Dead Silent
So far everything is working perfectly I can’t believe the power behind this thing only bad thing the scope first thing I did with a new scope for it and caulking the bow takes a little bit of effort. I’ve seen a lot of other reviews where they say that it’s cracked in various places or the rope is broke. I haven’t had any of that. Keep my fingers crossed one thing for sure that you have to do is make sure that you wax all the string, including the pulleys and the track so far I put about 35 shots through it and like I said no problem whatsoever anyway best of luck if you buy one, I’m sure you won’t regret it

Weak points: string and scope
Scope is not good quality but the biggest problem is the string. The string that tight the bow, situated just under the frame has too much friction against the frame which will bring tears on the string from the first shot. The frame should be carved with a concave cavity for the string to avoid friction. Do not waste your money on it...
