Xbox 360 Quick Charge Kit

I bought this to replace a "plug and play" charger that was less than successful. I am generally pretty open to generics, but after that experience decided to stick with original manufacturer equipment for this purpose. Although this one doesn't allow for the controller to charge while playing, it does charge 2 battery packs at once so we're always able to have a spare on hand. It only comes with 1 battery pack. My daughter already had one so that worked for us, but you should be aware of that if you are ordering. It charged our 2 packs within an hour. (One of them was fully discharged, the other was not.) It I am very pleased with this item and it does the job it was purchased to do without taking up a lot of space.

I much prefer this over using a controller plugged into the 360. Why? For one, the cables have a tendency to get damaged and no longer charge the battery. This has a much more secure connection to the battery. It also doesn't require the 360 to be on to charge your batteries. Both my wife and I play a lot and the batteries drain frequently - we always have at least one back up ready to go now. Yes, it does use an extra outlet, but as most people have surge protectors at their TV's/Xbox's/etc, I would expect an extra outlet to be available. If you are having trouble keeping your batteries charged, I would highly recommend switching to this from the cable that comes with the charge kit. For us it has been worth it. We thought we were going to have to replace some of our batteries but it managed to somehow kickstart new life into a couple of them. Didn't fix all of them, but a couple of them are like new now.

Just ordered one of these and the included battery was a dud. It was an original Microsoft battery and charger, not a knock off, but my guess is many of these are old stock and the batteries no longer hold a charge and are dead. The charger worked fine and the red charging light came on, but turned off shortly after and no energy stored in the battery. I owned this kit when they were new and loved it, but these rechargeable batteries (unless newly manufactured) are very likely to not charge or hold the same charge as they did when new. So I would recommend this kit if you just need a good charger as the price is right, but if you need that battery, look elsewhere for newly manufactured batteries. Xbox 360 Quick Charge Kit

Build quality is about what you would expect from an original charge kit, which is not cheap looking or feeling at all. The product is small enough that you can just hide it in a corner, but looks cool enough to keep it out on the shelf if you prefer. Functions as expected when charging the black battery that comes with it. However, it will not charge my original white battery that came with the system at launch. I'm not sure if the flaw is with the battery or the charger. The white battery is still in good health, I can charge it on a 3rd party charger.

Everything was working fine for about a month. Then it just started to malfunction. When the battery dies and I try to charge it, it says that it's fully charged. Another problem is that now it only charges on one side. This is the third Microsoft OEM charging station I've bought. I decided to finally just buy the plug n play which actually works without a hitch. It's been about 3 months with the plug n play and it still works like a beast.

It's a simple product so not much to say! This thing charges fast and the batteries that go with it seem to last an eternity compared to the other rechargeable batteries and even regular batteries I was using. If you play for extended periods of time....just buy this and be done with it. I've tried a few of the cheaper alternatives and this just simply works better. It does only come with one battery so make sure you order one or 2 extra to get maximum use out of it!

I wanted to like this. The idea is great, but it didn't charge a lot of our batteries, and the ones it did they eventually stopped charging, even the newer batteries we had purchased. I carefully researched these types of products and gave this a try but I didn't have the luck(is that what it comes down to maybe) that others buyers had. I am so sick of dealing with the rechargeable batteries and chargers and feeling like no matter what products I purchase they are a hassle. I have purchased AA batteries in bulk and will just let my boys use those.

I bought this because I was sick of keeping my xbox on all hours of the night to charge my controller via xbox quick charge cable. This is an awesome product because not only can you charge two batteries at a time, but that you can charge the batteries within like 2 hours!! compared to the quick charge cable it took me like about 6 hours just to charge a single battery.. If you like xbox and you don't like to keep replacing those stupid AA batteries along with running your xbox all night.. then this is a no brainer and I recommend you buy it and stop reading this stupid review :D

This works as designed plus comes with an additional battery! Using rechargeable batteries is the way to go. Good product.

The right side is not charging the rechargeable battery and after a couple of month the rechargeable battery that came with it is not working anymore.

I was a little disappointed that it only came with one battery when it does charge two. I am sure the one I bought from Best buy for my son came with two batteries. However it works very well and will save me money.

i bought this to replace one i already had that wasnt charging my batteries anymore. i only actually took this out of the box maybe 2 weeks ago, and already its showing that it was a waste of money. Its acting like the old charging dock was, its showing a green light seconds after placing a dead battery in the dock. its only supposed to show a green light when the battery is FULLY CHARGED. Also, i put 2 dead batteries in the charger one morning before going on a day trip with my family, when i came back i tried to use the batteries, but both were STILL DEAD. they were so drained that the controller wouldnt even turn on. im just glad i have a plug and play cable that will charge my battery while im playing, because this charging dock is just garbage. only good thing about this dock was that it came with a rechargeable battery.

Got this item for a dying console to save on batteries since the kids play minecraft incessantly. Charges in about 2 hrs. Only gripe is that it only comes with one battery. Would rather pay a little more and have it come with 2, but if you have 4 controllers and buy 2 of the 2 pack rechargeables then you have 5 total and the extra one you can use while the dead one charges.
