The Vampire Diaries: The Complete Fourth Season (DVD)

This is my all time favorite show. I just ordered it on Friday, with a Christmas Visa gift card, and according to tracking, it should arrive tomorrow. This season is probably my least favorite of the 5 seasons, because it started a bit slow....but about mid season, it picked up again and became TVD that we all know and love!!!! Who could forget Klaus dripping in Hybrid blood in the Christmas episode?? Or Damon and Elena FINALLY getting together one very steamy night? The introduction of Stefan's doppelganger? Learning that Katherine was not the first doppelganger? Seeing Elena slaughter innocent ppl? Matt's face when he saw Jeremy dead on the bed? Bonnie dying to bring Jeremy back to life? Seeing the gang graduate....watching Klaus behead a witch (that was back from the dead) right b4 they killed Caroline....Damon talking at Alaric's grave, and more importantly, Damon and Alaric's reunion....and, at the end, Elena finally choosing the RIGHT brother, the very sexy Damon....so many good moments!!!! And when it arrives tomorrow, I can't wait to rewatch the entire season and ALL the special features!!! I already own seasons 1-3, and have watched them so often, I'm surprised I haven't worn the DVD's out!!! I can't wait to own season 5, the season on air right now.....its shaping up to be possibly the best season yet!!! And getting season 4 tomorrow is the perfect (and only) thing that will make this oh so very long "mid season break" bearable!!! Why do they have to have a 6-week break in the middle of the season??? I remember when shows would break for the week of Christmas and New Years, but return the next week....I dunno how I'll make it until Jan 23.....oh yea, I do!!!! Watch season 4!!!!! And then maybe start all over again with the pilot episode through season 5 episode 10 (I have this whole season to date on my DVR and my boyfriend knows the punishment of erasing even 1 episode is DEATH)!!!!!! So, I can't wait!!!! This is really the best show on tv, so full of twists and turns, cliff hangers, love, sex, death, passion....God, such a great show!!!!

I am a big fan of the whole Elena and Damon, I just really didn't like how they came together. I didn't like how Stefan got played this season,so I hope for a great come back in season 5. There was too much going on this season, I really wasn't enjoying it like I thought I would. My favorite parts of this season was when Elena had no emotions. Klaus and Caroline scenes. That was the best part of the whole season. Oh that and the finale when we discovered who Silas really was!!! Overall not it's best, but still worth buying. It's Vampire Diaries!!!

Great collection

I like this season because things took a darker turn (although TVD has always been dark which I like). The interaction between Elena and Katherine is great this season. I love having Blu-Ray discs of the show because they look so much better than streaming. I also love the fact I can binge my favorite show with no commercials and if you know TVD you know there are a LOT of commercials. So, if you are new to TVD - get started. This show will not disappoint. Season 4 is action filled and gives you many new angles to explore in character development. Damon Rules!

Loved this show. Was a huge buff and angel fan before this glad I manage to find the bluray+DVD+ UltraViolet. I still think Elena was being a little dirty and knew ahead of time she was gotta dump the sweet brother for the dark and nasty Damon. Alot of great stuff here but I wish I had more time to watch these shows. Just got a bunch of supernatural or other cw shows to catch up before the last season of Vampire Diaries show up.

I have watched all four seasons twice and still pick up things I missed the first time around. If you love vampires, you will love this. You've got the bad boy, the sweet guy and all the bad and good characters in between. Absolutely incredible writing and acting. I've never been more riveted to a show than this one. I'm not a couch potato and my mind needs to be busy so I'm usually reading a book while watching TV. But not with this series. I was glued to the screen all night until dawn as we watched episode after episode until the sun came up. This is a definite keeper in my collection! And I gotta give it to Damon, he never steps out of character and I love that about him!

Ich bin ohnehin Fan der Serie und habe auch schon die anderen Staffeln. Ich kann die Serie sehr empfehlen, habe sie förmlich verschlungen! Wie die anderen Staffeln auch mit viel Spannung und Humor gespickt... Zum Inhalt: Elenas größter Alptraum ist wahr geworden. Sie und Matt sind mit dem Auto von der Wickery Bridge gestürzt und Elena bat Stefan, Matt zuerst zu retten. Für Elena kam deshalb jede Hilfe zu spät und sie ist ertrunken. Doch Elena hatte Damons Blut in ihrem Kreislauf und muss innerhalb der nächsten 24 Stunden Menschenblut trinken, um ihre Verwandlung zum Vampir zu vollziehen oder sie wird sterben. Elenas Wunsch war es niemals, ein Vampir zu werden, dennoch schließt sie die Verwandlung unfreiwillig ab. Klaus, der nun in Tylers Körper lebt, gelingt es mit Bonnies Hilfe in seinen eigenen Körper zurückzugelangen. Während Elena mit ihrem neuen Dasein als Vampir und gegen ihr Verlangen nach menschlichem Blut kämpft, kommt Connor in die Stadt. Die Freunde erfahren, dass er ein Vampirjäger ist, doch nur Jeremy sieht das Tattoo auf seiner Haut, was ihn selbst zu einen auserwählten Vampirjäger macht. Nachdem Elena Connor getötet hat, fängt auch auf Jeremys Haut ein Tattoo an zu wachsen. Elena entwickelt außerdem starke Gefühle für Damon. Sie trennt sich daher von Stefan. Als Elena und Damon zum ersten Mal miteinander schlagen, finden Caroline und Stefan heraus, dass Elena nur durch einen sogenannten Sire Bond mit Damon verbunden ist und sich nur deshalb zu ihm hingezogen fühlt, weil sein Blut sie zu einem Vampir verwandelt hat. Von da an distanziert sich Elena von Damon, obwohl sie immer noch der Meinung ist, dass ihre Gefühle für ihn echt sind. Außerdem wird Jeremy von einer fremden Macht dazu verführt, Vampire, also auch seine Schwester, zu töten. Die Gruppe erfährt, dass ein alter Hexenmagier namens Silas ein Heilmittel gegen das Vampirdasein gebraut hatte, das zusammen mit ihm in einer alten Höhle liegt. Damon hofft, das Mittel für Elena holen zu können, damit sie so auch von dem Sire Bond befreit ist. Auf der Insel überschlagen sich allerdings die Ereignisse. Silas wird wiederbelebt und tötet Jeremy. Von nun an kann er jegliche Gestalt annehmen, die er will. Elena ist durch den Tod ihres Bruders so erschüttert, dass Damon sie zwingen muss, ihre Gefühle abzuschalten. Dadurch wird sie allerdings zu einer herzlosen Killerin. Später gelingt es Damon allerdings durch einen Trick, ihre Gefühle wieder hervorzurufen. Klaus hat unterdessen Mystic Falls verlassen um nach New Orleans zu gehen. Seine Geschichte und die seiner Geschwister wird in dem Spin-Off zur Serie, The Originals, weitererzählt. Im Staffelfinale wird die Grenze zwischen dem Dies- und dem Jenseits unterbrochen und alte Bekannte wie Alaric (Matthew Davis) und Lexi (Arielle Kebbel) kehren zurück. Bonnie gelingt es, Jeremy wieder zum Leben zu erwecken, stirbt aber selbst an den Folgen. Elena realisiert, dass sie den Sire Bond überwunden hat und sie Damon liebt. Die beiden finden endlich zueinander. Später kommt es allerdings noch zu einem Kampf zwischen Elena und Katherine, wo sie ihrer Erzfeindin das Heilmittel verabreicht und Katherine zu einem Menschen macht. Stefan will für seinen Bruder die Stadt verlassen und vorher noch den besiegten Silas lebendig begraben. Da offenbart ihm dieser, dass er selbst ein Doppelgänger von Stefan ist, überwältigt Stefan und stürzt ihn in einem Tresor in den Fluss. Empfehlenswert allerdings nur wenn man die anderen Staffeln gesehen hat denke ich!
