Can this be plugged into a computer?

No. You cannot plug this directly into a computer, and buying an XLR to USB cable will also not work because it needs power.

Can it work for a tascam dr-05x?

It uses an xlr cable. It also maybe a powered mic if so, a phantom powered mixer or phantom powered audio usb interface is required for it to work. If it’s a powered microphone it will not work with a handheld recorder. You’ll also need a xlr to 3.5 or 1/4 adapter for it to connect to a handheld recorder like the Tascam.

Can my husband use this with his 8-track Tascam recorder by plugging it directly into the recorder? He does not use a computer when recording.
