Chaoseater Darksiders Sword

The detail in the painting is just phenomenal. It's pretty hefty, but I carried it all Halloween (propped on my shoulder) and it wasn't too bad. Got a bruise, though lol. As others have said, they write the S/N on it with a marker and the number isn't on the CoA (kinda lame). There is also something rattling around inside when I flip it over. I know others have had that issue, but it doesn't bother me. Haven't tried the wall mount, but it looks cool. Update 10/10/2013 - Still looks like new even with lugging it around some places. The leather on the grip is holding up nicely, as well. Unfortunately, I forgot to hang it back up and left it on my chair while on vacation. I was gone for about 4 days and when I got home, I noticed that it had cracked under its own weight. It's not super noticeable, but I'm afraid to carry it around now. It's been hanging on the wall for a while and hasn't gotten any worse. As stated in my original review, the wall mount looks really cool. However, it's a total pain to install (for me, at least). The anchors that came with it buckled as soon as I tried to put them in the wall and ended up using my own. Hasn't moved since I got it up there, though.

I had really high hopes for this item when I heard it was going to be made into a replica. Loved the design; loved the game. However my hopes came crashing down the moment I open the package and looked upon the actual item. The official pictures of the item look very realistic (like an actual weapon right out of a movie), but the actual item is a major disappointment (resembles a plastic child's toy, but way too hefty to be wielded). I found out the hard way that cold-cast does not actually mean its made out of metal, but rather a kind of resin (plastic). Should've done my research before I purcahsed it. The item itself is hand-numbered just like it was described, but using a permanent marker. Not inscribed / engraved like one of the pictures show. What's to stop a person from removing the number using thinner and renumbering it as #1? I've thought of returning it, but the return shipping cost $150 (Australia)! The best way I could think of to not feel so bad about buying it is to stand at least 10 ft away from it when looking at it or take off my glasses! I've written my negative reviews on the online store that I purchased it from and it got removed! Hope it stays up this time and consumers can be informed before they part with their hard earned cash for a poorly made slab of plastic.

Just FYI, there is no metal used in the construction of the blade. Its is a hard but brittle plastic. I gave mine a light smack on the carpet (without aforementioned knowledge) and the very tip busted off. I know its just a replica, but for those who want to play with this sword I suggest you reconsider. Still a cool looking sword

Other than the blade being plastic it's everything I imagined and more importantly the friend I gave it to as a gift was blown away. Great detail and just its sheer size and weight is a showstopper

First off there have been certain reviewers who were not happy that this wasn't made out of all metal, instead it's a mix of metal and resin. If it was all metal it would weigh close to 30 or 50 pounds - imagine trying to lift that. As it is it weighs about 7 pounds. I've seen some video reviews that looked good and some had a little more bluish paint, on mine it's faint but that doesn't really bother me. Over all I am very happy with this sword, I am a fan of Darksiders and even bigger fan of swords in general. This sword is very detailed and quit large. I've been wanting to get this sword since the first Darksiders came out. The leather handle is very nicely done - I've seen some that the handle just falls apart, very annoying. This is about as true as it gets to the sword in the game and I am very happy with it.

I got this for my brother cause we both loves the darksider games and when i saw this on amazon, i know he would love it. War is his favorite and he plays the 1st game all the time. When it arrived it was package nice and safely, arrived on time, and looked amazing. I was a little worried when i read some of the reviews that said it was not a good buy but they were wrong. To me It doesn't look or feel like plastic, it looks like a sword. I love it and i know my brother will love it. I just might keep it for my self. (LOL)

Great peace for my collection. The arrival time was little sketchy but all and all an awesome sword for my collection

the sword was a good purchase if you love darksiders only two things about this one the serial number for mine was written in a marker/pen and 2 20 dollars i bought my 4 months ago with my tax refund and now its only 20 dollars it was 200.00 just makes me a little mad but still all in all a good item but no for acutal use for display only and showing off
