Handgun Sight Pusher Tool Universal for 1911 Glock sig Springfield and Others for Front or Rear Sights

This does work, but be prepared to do a few things depending on the size of your slide. I used this to drift the front sight on a Bodyguard 2.0 and needed to add some self-made shims in order to get the push block lined up correctly. I also wrapped the slide in painter's tape, which I would recommend for any slide. A full-sized or medium-sized slide should work without any shims needed. I chose to use a T-handle wrench instead of the included wrench. This sight pusher doesn't come with directions, but it is really easy to figure out and seems well made. If you only need this type of tool for a few projects, it is well worth the price they are asking.

I used this to put on suppressor height sights (GL-429) on my Brownell's Glock 19 slide and it did the job fine. I used painters tape on all the contact points for extra protection and didn't experience any damage to my slide's finish as some others ran into.This isn't the best sight pusher out there by any means, but I'd say it is well worth the asking price compared to the other options out there. This pusher is well made and not something I'd worry about breaking or giving me any unnecessary issues. The design definitely could be better. Noticeably more space on the bottom for me to lock it into my vise and pads or wider contact points on the set screws that push up against the sides of the slide to prevent damage to the slide's finish. Something similar for the top of the slide would be nice too. It's easy to use, but not including instructions is just them being cheap, lazy, or completely oblivious. Probably just expect you to head to youtube.But when you buy something at a lower price point than the higher-cost items that I think a lot of these negative reviews are comparing this product to, some issues and inconveniences are to be expected. For me, this did exactly what I needed it to, and it did it well enough. If I was extremely worried about messing up an expensive finish or I was made of money, I'd definitely buy a better one, but for my needs, I'm completely content with it and won't hesitate to use it again.

It works!! Just finished using it to install a new rear sight on a 1911. It's a very simple tool that has been well thought out. No bells and whistle, just functionality.

Rear sight pusher worked perfectly to replace my stock rear sights. Make sure to cover the top with tape or I used a cut piece of rubber to protect your slide from getting marks on it. Same type pushers cost a lot more, and this one performed as expected. Great tool to have if you have a few that need aftermarket sights. Cheaper than a gunsmith for sure. Would recommend!

Title says it all. I have many different firearms. Rear Glock sights all day with this tool. Very well built. Quality, strength, ease of use. Easily works on Sig front & rear. As a lot of us are aware, S/A Xd series are kind of the ultimate test for sight tools, at least in my book. While I didn't use it on any factory installed Springfield sights in my somewhat expirienced opinion this tool CAN do it. Judging from reviews I feel the manufacturer has "tweeked" the tool for the better. It quite effortlessly works without causing damage to the slide. I looked for a while at most all the top "universal" sight pushers currently on Amazon. For less than $40 if your a firearms enthusiast or its just a hobby & you want to change out some sights this is for you. I wasted hours thoroughly researching available options. If you don't wish to do that, Spend the money & buy this tool! I wasted a lot of time looking however in the end I'm beyond satisfied with what I received. Short of ejection seats these days it seems hard to find anything that lives up to its marketing. This tool does in my book. I also read reviews of people on the fence never having changed sights before. If I may say that in my opinion + expirience, If that is you buy this tool, a glock front sight driver tool (less than $10) Maybe some loctite for sight posts & set screws & jump in. Do NOT pay a shop over $50 to do your sights (probably more now sadly) There's plenty of videos on line to walk you through if you haven't done it before or maybe aren't totally confident. That's how I basically learned some years ago. I hope this review helps people as that's the purpose of leaving them. Anything I can do to help someone especially someone into firearms/sporting goods is something I feel really good about. Ymmv but I suspect you'll be as pleased as I am about the purchase!

Works great on an XD9 for BOTH front and rear sights. When removing sights, you will have moderate resistance at the beginning of the “push” but it gets easier. Takes a little while to set up correctly. Great for a person who doesn’t want to spend a lot of $$$ for a tool that isn’t used a lot. Great value for the price and gets the job done.TIPS:1. Make sure your gun slide is square to the tool on all axis. Align the tool and gun slide so the applied force is in the same plane as the dovetails. If it’s slightly cattywampus, you’ll encounter too much resistance and will break something.2. No penetrating oil required for my factory 15+ years old sights. I used a longer 6” Allen wrench (like the ones from Harbor Freight) for additional leverage.3. Cut an old plastic credit card (or one of those plastic casino players card) lengthwise into 1/2” strips to use as shims. Place one between the push block and the body of the tool to eliminate the “play”. Other users have scratched their gun slide because the block can rotate slightly while sliding on the rod. Place the other shims at contact points between the gun slide and the tool.3. There were no instructions but it wasn’t hard to figure out. Really easy to use with no problems. If you’re not mechanically inclined or don’t have the mechanical aptitude, pay a gunsmith. Otherwise…good luck.
