Very nice, but …
Very Nice Things:(1) Twin blade “select cut” is quite effective at giving a neat cut. I’m guessing the arrangement provides a bit more lift to provide an even cut, even with the standard mulching blade.(2) Mulching seems better than my previous EGO, even traversing in a few longer areas of grass I have caused no clumping as the machine powered through and chopped the blades nicely. Probably that second blade effectiveness again.(3) Runtime seemed a bit longer, but that may just be my wishful thinking.(4) Headlights are a bit brighter.(5) I like the sleek and sporty design, including the way the headlights are integrated. I definitely be styling when cutting my grass, and enjoy the envious looks of my neighbors!Continued good stuff (reason I bought the EGO again):(1) Quiet for me and neighborhood.(2) No hassles with gas, oil, spark plugs, air filter & such.(3) Light & maneuverable.(4) Interchangeability of the batteries with the five other EGO tools I enjoy. But … (don’t you hate that word?): the one negative for me so far is the solution for engaging the self- propelling feature. The two embedded switches in the handle are not as holistic a user interface as the previous model. First time I used the new mower I wanted to move it over two feet after putting battery in; when putting my hand on the handle to give it a slight shove I unintentionally engaged the embedded switch and the mower started zipping away. Same thing when cutting; I typically use the drive when going up the slight rise in my front yard but not at other times and I find it counterintuitive to position my hands on the handle such that it doesn’t engage (particularly when maneuvering the mower when your hands tend to move around a bit). Vice-a-versa, once engaged if your hands move slightly it disengages too easily. I guess I could dial the speed back to zero after disengaging, but repeatedly dialing that off and on (and finding right speed when on) would be a PIA. I liked the previous scheme of the lever you would pull back to lie against the handle much better - was a more conscious and positive step to engage the drive, and easier to keep engaged as your hand moves about a bit on the handle. Safer too, IMHO. Maybe I’ll get used it it over time and find a new Zen, but (there is that dang word again) I doubt it.Overall a fine mower I definitely would buy again. I just hope EGO goes back to the previous drive engagement scheme sometime in the next ten years before I buy my next EGO mower!

Perfect
Best lawn mower I've ever owned! The self-propelled technology is super intuitive, making mowing almost effortless. It delivers a clean, precise cut, and the battery life is phenomenal—covering my whole yard with plenty to spare. Quiet, efficient, and reliable. Couldn't be happier! It takes me 45 mins to mow my lawn and doesn't even use half the battery.

Great mower. Works as advertised.
The mower came packaged very well. We’ve only used it once, but so far it was a great experience. As advertised, it is easy start and easy to adjust height. I loved that I could adjust the speed easily as I was mowing. This mower has a lot of power and I found that it was better to turn the speed way down or even off when doing tight spaces or around things like legs of a playset so that I was not fighting the self propelled pull. The mower is quiet in contrast to our gas mower. The blades did an amazing job of sucking the clippings into the bag.Our grass was a bit high and thick in some places and I was able to mow right through it at the full width of the mower without any bogging down. With our gas mower, I use to cut the width in half to avoid the blades bogging down. The battery was enough for mowing the front and back. For context, we have a small front yard but a fairly descent size backyard (cul de sac lot). After mowing, blew off dust with air compressor, removed battery and folded up to store. Easy! All and all we are very satisfied with this mower and would recommend it.

Worked as described; self-propelled feature is wonderful!
I just got my Ego mower and I took it for a spin in the back yard. Our lot is just shy of a half acre, mostly flat. The mower came with an extra battery that is smaller than the one that comes with the mower. I charged them both, but started with the smaller battery. There is a lot to mow around in my backyard so it took a while. I was really happy with the ease of using the self-propelled mower. I'm a retired lady without good upper arm strength but I had no trouble using the mower. Switching from going forward to stopping or going into self-propelled mode was effortless. I was just about done mowing the back yard when the self-propelled feature stopped working due to low battery power. I finished the back yard pushing manually.I swapped out batteries, this time using the bigger battery, and began mowing the front and side yards. The battery held up well and had plenty of charge left when I was done mowing. Next time I'll use the bigger battery for the back yard. It mulched the grass nicely and was easy to use. I've only done one round of mowing but it went really well.

Better than Ever
I bought this mower w/charger & 12 amp battery included. We've cut about one of three acres of tall grass, about 10". The first cut brought the grasss to 7" and the second was done at 2". This is Oat grass, very dense and wet from recent rains. I can say the mover did well with the battery lasting 20-30 minutes and having the mower loading with wet, sticky grass. If it was more normal, there would no congestion and the batteries lasts much longer.I actually bought two more 12 amp after- market batteries & an extra charger. This way, the batteries can be rotated without waiting for recharge. I'm happy with the simple controls, light weight, stiff frame, quality construction and no hoping for the mower to start or gas to buy. It's different and it's better. The mower designers built in a lot of features that make it hard for the user to mess up, like ensuring that the handles are locked in place before allowing ignition. The mower is self-accelerating, so going up hill is easy and there is no effort required. The mower's indicator flashes RED when you're close to using up the battery. That gives me ample time to position the mower closer to my replacement battery supply or take the mower inside for the day under its own power.
