NERFRebelle Guardian Crossbow Blaster

My children of 6 and 8 received three Nerf guns for Christmas. I've played with them all: The Zombie Strike SlingFire, Rebelle Guardian Crossbow and Zombie Strike Hammershot. The SlingFire is by far the funnest. There is a certain satisfaction with working the pump and slamming the clip into home. However, reloading takes longer as you have to work the pump, pull a tab to eject the clip and then load it - whereas the Hammershot and Crossbow are quickly reloaded by dropping ammo into their barrels. Also, the aim on this one is way high. We did not buy a precision sniper rifle so we'll let that one go.The crossbow is also fun to shoot and seems to have a better aim. The darts go much further than I expected. I was worried that the bow part might break but my 8 year old daughter handles it well and always lays it upside down when she isn't playing with it. If your kid is rough on toys - a toss on the ground may break this one. It's attractive for girls and my daughter loves her special ammo.The Hammershot is quick to load and has superior accuracy. My 6 year old son has to use two hands to hold the gun and cock the hammer but he enjoys it all the same. Maybe better for an older child (like me).

This is a neat little toy. It's the look that really puts this one over the edge. The crossbow is much better than the long bow, in my opinion. I'm 29 and LOVE this. It shoots well (although the revolver shoots better) and it's fun to play with. The Nerf design for girls is amazing. The darts are incredible because they match the bow. I didn't give this one five stars just because it seems like its meant to go against the shoulder, but it doesn't fit there very comfortably. I handed it to my nieces (a thirteen-year-old and then a seven-year-old). They couldn't get the shoulder part to fit comfortably either, so I think it's not just me. I didn't expect it to fit an adult, of course, but I did expect it to fit a child at the shoulder. Again, that seems to be what it was designed for.

Bought this toy for my wife. With a house full of boys she needed something to fight back with. I believe the line of Rebelle has a little tighter spring in it as these shots really have a kick to them. The kids don't really look forward to getting shot by these in a shootout which makes it more respectful:) It seems very sturdy and defiantly fun to use.

My daughter was dying to have one of these so that she could fight with the boys in the neighborhood who had nerf wars. It really let her be included while still being girly enough to be cool. The crossbow feature was a little different as to not mix it up with everyone elses nerf guns but she had a great time playing with this toy and it engaged her in outdoor physical activity. Keep the great creative ideas coming Nerf!

I got this for my 8 year old daughter for christmas. While the design is cool and looks good in your hand, the gun is difficult to use for smaller kids. My daughter is on the small size, and she has difficulty using the slide between shots. Also, the crossbow piece comes apart more frequently than we'd like. It's easy to put back into place, but it's a hassle in the middle of a nerf battle. 8-) The darts are the basic nerf elite darts with Rebelle designs on them. The durabiltiy of the darts seems in line with most other nerf darts. I do not plan on buying extra Rebelle darts as we have plenty of the elite darts around. All in all, this is an okay nerf gun. No problem with darts jamming and the dart flight is pretty decent - usually around 50 ft.

Our daughter loves her newest Nerf toy. It works very well without fail. Some of our other cartridge Nerf guns have jammed an broken but not this one so far. The whole color marketing used for girls was a good idea too. She loves the color of the bow and the bullets. Crazy but in a good way. Classic fun toy!

I ordered the Nerf Rebelle Crossbow as a Christmas gift for one of my daughters. Thanks to Amazon, this item arrived undamaged and in time for the holidays. Unfortunately, after my daughter opened her gift, I assembled the toy and discovered that the trigger didn't work. The only way to get the crossbow to shoot was to pull back and let go of the sliding handle. It didn't even lock into position. This toy was a disappointment ... and to add to that, my wife threw out the packaging so I never had the chance to return it. Nice idea but check to make sure the trigger works before you buy this toy.
