Lutefisk Fillet | 1.75 pounds

Lutefisk is our Christmas tradition and unable to buy it locally,I ordered it from Amazon. It arrived in a cool package and was mostly thawed as the freezer packs had thawed. The fish smell of the packaging was very strong. When I cooked it, the fish smell was not that pronounced and the fish was very good served with a cream sauce. I will order this again next year!

All joking about lutefisk aside, many of us DO like it, and it is hard to get it anywhere outside of small parts of the upper midwest. We ordered this for Christmas Eve dinner, and together with some leftsa, it was a fine meal,

Lutefisk is a family tradition for Christmas Eve. Unfortunately, it is very much an acquired taste no matter how it is prepared and time will tell if the younger generation continues. Lutefisk texture, taste and smell is unique to say the least. We serve with the lefsa, potatoes, peas ... a side dish available to those wanting a taste. With all that said, this is a very good brand. Arrives frozen, timely with good alert notifications. price is reasonable as it is difficult to find at local stores. The bag is plenty for most. Recommend if your family is looking for lutefisk.

The item was warm when delivered- no where close to the "frozen" description regarding standard delivery. Very disappointed.

I grew up in Minnesota but never tried Lutefisk. Decided I wanted to try it. It wasn't like some of the horror stories people described it as. I thought it was delicious! Kind of like a mild lobster. I didn't taste any fishyness at all. I used the boiling method and drenched it in butter.
