A Must-Have Kitchen Reference Guide
This guide has been a fantastic addition to my kitchen. I even bring it out to read on the couch for fun—call me a nerd, but I used to read the encyclopedia for kicks!I often find myself looking in the fridge and thinking, "I have this chicken; I need to cook it differently." This guide opens up endless possibilities. I can now experiment with sauces, dips, stocks, and emulsions (like homemade mayonnaise when I run out—who knew?).The laminated format is excellent for durability, and I appreciate that it can clip into a 3-ring binder if desired. Personally, I prefer it loose and durable. I love concise study guides and CliffsNotes over bulky traditional books (though I have those too!).I have nothing negative to say about this guide. If you enjoy learning this way, get it—you'll be happy you did!

Lots of information on 6 pages.
This is a great guide to keep in kitchen near fridge. I have been using mine a lot lately. It helps when you don't have a certain sauce. Lots of information on only 6 pages. I put mine on a split ring and hung it on the side of my fridge. Easy peasy.

Great for the novice cook to the moderate chef
The media could not be loaded. I really like this guide. It is a six page laminated guide to different sauces and reductions that you can use to make your food taste even better it elevates your cooking and your family will wonder what culinary school you attended! Not only does it explain the different sauces and their origin, but it gives you recipes that you can use to make them. I highly recommend this guide for, especially the novice it will elevate your cooking to the next level, I promise

Quick Reference Guide
Love this. Have ordered the same laminated, tri-fold reference for meats and herbs and spices. Highly recommend . It fits into a 3 ring binder for easy storage.

Great Information!!
Just received this reference guide today. It was shipped in a sturdy brown envelope, but had still gotten a little bent up - did not change my rating based on that as I was so excited to get this particular guide!As a home cook with a fair bit of experience, I found this to be an amazing resource. The variety of recipes was fabulous and the convenience of having them in one place is great! The derivative options on the mother sauces sound fantastic. I love curries, chutneys, coulis and sauces - am SO looking forward to using these recipes!! Am planning to get a couple more to give as gifts - am sure they will be appreciated!

This is always in my kitchen
I’m a very experienced cook, but I keep this in my kitchen just for quick reference. It reminds me to add sauce sometimes when I hadn’t originally considered it.
