Our water is soft and clean by the tests, but I was shocked when I came to change filter cartridge in this. Just after about 5 months since installed. Bare in mind the filter is plumbed only to coffee machine and drinking tap, and used only 2 adults, me and my partner! The photo attached tells everything. Left is used filter compared to the new on right. Shocking! So happy I have bought this even not having a big expectations that time. From now on I going to replace filter cartridges more often, probably 3 months. It is effective at removing the chlorine taste that is in our mains water supply. The original fitted filter element was replaced at 12 months old when there was a noticeable difference in the water supply flow. The flow is now back to full strength which shows that the old filter element had been effective at capturing other small particles in the water supply. It was easy to change.
