Do dry erase markers work on this for an impromptu whiteboard?

Dry erase markers works on the Lexan Sheet - Polycarbonate - 24 x 24 which I purchased. Just tested it and it wipes off. Marked a corner on both sides and left it on for about 5 minutes then wiped it off with paper towel, did it again and wiped it off with the dry eraser. Just make sure you are using dry eraser markers. Hopes that helps.

What do you use to cut it?

I cut a sheet with the plastic cutting wheel on a Dremel (EZ476) but I got a lot of melting if I didn't keep the wheel moving. When I went back around with a 60 grit Dremel sanding mandrel (part number 407 and 408), the results were fantastic, no melting and the wheel ate through some pretty generous over hang in seconds.

The description is confusing: " one side has printing. the other side is clear/frosted and hard to see". is it really "clear protective film"?

This particular Lexan Sheet is clear, not frosted nor printing on it. It comes with protective film on both faces of the sheet to avoid scratches and other minor issue that might damage while transporting it, which will need to be peel off eventually. Not safe for laser cutting.

Does this have UV protection so it doesn't yellow in sunlight?

UV protection is dependant on additives / coatings added during manufacture. Contact the supplier for UV rating.
