## Overview

The Teensy 3.2 microcontroller offers enhanced power capabilities and a wider voltage input range while maintaining the same pinout as its predecessor, the Teensy 3.1, making it an ideal choice for innovative projects and seamless upgrades.

## Description

The Teensy is a breadboard-friendly development board with loads of features in a, well, teensy package. The Teensy 3.2 brings a 32 bit ARM Cortex microprocessor into the mix so you can do some serious number crunching. The Teensy 3.2 comes pre-flashed with a bootloader so you can program it using the on-board USB connection: No external programmer needed! You can program for the Teensy in your favorite program editor using C or you can install the Teensyduino add-on for the Arduino IDE and write Arduino sketches for Teensy! The processor on the Teensy also has access to the USB and can emulate any kind of USB device you need it to be, making it great for USB-MIDI and other HID projects. The 32 bit processor brings a few other features to the table as well, such as multiple channels of Direct Memory Access, several high-resolution ADCs and even an I2S digital audio interface! There are also 4 separate interval timers plus a delay timer! Oh yeah, and all pins have interrupt capability. Also, it can provide system voltage of 3.3V to other devices at up to 100mA. All of this functionality is jammed into a 1.4 x 0.7 inch board with all headers on a 0.1" grid so you can slap in on a breadboard and get to work! On top of everything else the Teensy has been gifted with more RAM (64K, thats 4x more than the Teensy 3.0) and 256kb of flash memory! The Teensy 3.2 now now has 5V tolerance on its digital inputs however all analog-only pins are still 3.3V only. Teensy 3.2 adds a more powerful 3.3 volt regulator, with the ability to directly power ESP8266 Wifi, WIZ820io Ethernet and other power-hungry 3.3V add-on boards

## Features

- Teensy 3.2 and 3.1 have exactly the same pinout.
- Teensy 3.2 provides more power on its 3.3V pin, and accepts a wider voltage input range.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: i need a keyboard controller for a PC that will along analog inputs for a potenitometer, is this going to work?**
A: It will accept a USB keyboard and has analog inputs on the GPIO pins

**Q: are the pins pre-soldered, or do they come separately?**
A: The ones we sell come with the pins pre-soldered.

**Q: Does this have LED?**
A: Yes. This has the LED on pin 13. This will work with the simple 'Flash" program built into the IDE.

**Q: will this work with 12v and or 24v illuminated push buttons ? thank you in advance .**
A: The illumination part of the buttons is 12V or 24V but the switch portion is just a switch and that should work with this device.

## Customer Reviews

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very very fast, and Arduino compatible
*by K***K on May 30, 2017*

Very fast, has many popular libraries for driving displays using adafruit libs, code is very compatible with Arduino--some small discrepancies here and there, but nothing i couldn't find a comparable solution. You can use Arduino IDE to program--just download a free plug in. This unit is a 3.3v but is 5v tolerant on the inputs. Some cool featuresyou can write to the analog ports (sin wave generator)analogread can be configured for 12 bit resolutionanalogread can be configured to automatically average x sampleshas several serial ports (and you can use 0 and 1)very very very fast (overclock to 120 mhz)has built in RTC you need to solder on a crystal and backup batteryTouch read pins(i've not tried these yet)analog can be used as digital inputs (10 analog, 24 digital--more if you solder pins on bottom)very very very fast (overclock to 120 mhz)Very good forum supportI have 2 and will buy more

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ This definitely deserves more than 5 stars. MUCH faster than other Arduinos.
*by S***Y on August 7, 2016*

Not only is it fast, but it has USB/HID built into it. That lets you use it as a game controller.Got a favorite joystick that's stopped working? Replace the old controller board with a Teensy 3.2 board. This board can give you all this & more;• 32 Buttons• 6 Axis (X, Y, Z, Rotate Z, Left Slider, Right Slider)• 1 Hat SwitchThere's even a usable sample code that lets you use the Teensy as a joystick controler - pjrc.com/teensy/td_joystick.html.There are reasons to buy this with, and without the pins attached. If you're new to Arduinos, the attached pins make it easy to use with a breadboard. Also, you won't save all that much money if you buy one without the pins attached. On the other hand, if you know what you're doing, the board without the pins may be easier to build into a project.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A great upgrade from the UNO chip and easy to make the change
*by E***Y on November 3, 2019*

A huge upgrade from the ancient Atmega328p processor chips I'd been using in my projects. Far faster, more I/Os, more HW UARTs... and this module really doesn't take up much more PCB space than the old 328p chip in the DIP package itself. It integrated seamlessly into the Arduino IDE and only minor code changes to SW were required.
