I have a large size for my lab mix. She's 55 lbs and can squeeze between the posts of our flexible vinyl fence.... which she would do anytime the next door dog was outside. This works perfectly. She doesn't mind wearing it and it keeps her from getting out. I don't bother attaching it to her collar as that is too much work. I just put it around her neck. She has only wiggled out of it once that way and she was pretty excited and doing some weird movements when she did. As a bonus, I also have a small size for my cat (I was sent the wrong size on my first order through another supplier and they let me keep it so I tried it out on her). She's an indoor cat but likes a little bit of fresh air. It works great for her as well. It even stops her from jumping the fence or climbing the trees. I think just having something on her neck upsets her balance enough that she doesn't try to jump. She doesn't love it but tolerates it since the pain is worth the reward of going outside.The reason I give it four stars... I wish they had more attractive options. I feel like most of the patterns are pretty ugly. This was one of the least obnoxious ones I found but I would have loved a plain black. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Best Puppy Purchase To Date *by C***O on Reviewed in the United States on June 15, 2015* A few weeks into our new puppy ownership, I began joking that someone needed to make a "fat suit" for puppy owners with picket fences. When I began searching the internet for a product that could address this issue, I found two, but this one is clearly superior in terms of design, comfort, and ease of use. This has dramatically improved our lives. Our pup feels empowered, and so do we. It doesn't restrict any of her activities (except getting through the fence, of course), and she doesn't ask us to remove it. Indeed, she frequently sleeps in it, and seems to enjoy doing so. The size we ordered is quite loose on her, but because it's held on by a regular dog collar threaded through loops on the bumper, this has not been a problem. We're completely sold on this product and are considering buying a reflective one for night time use. ### ⭐⭐⭐ A little fragile for active puppies *by M***B on Reviewed in the United States on March 6, 2014* The puppy bumper is cute and as described. The fabric and makeup are too fragile for an active bigger puppy breed. Easily chewed, seams have come loss, snap broke off, one of the loops came off. I've spent lots of sewing time on this. We have gone back to a modified neck pillow.I think this would work well for smaller, more sedate breeds. However, I would not recommend for an active puppy that would wear the larger size.
