Fun book. Great exercises and interactive like having a fun conversation with a friend.

As a budding author, I have read a number of books on the craft of writing, most of which left me cold. This book is written with such humour and had me engaged from the first page. Bravo John Vorhaus, this is one of those books that really 'clicked' with me. My copy is already marked up, highlighted and well used. Thank you for writing it.

Mr. Vorhaus is a great teacher, who will change the way you look at comedy and writing. I highly recommend this book.

It's the only place I have EVER found which has good, practical methods to combat "writer's block."Since I have a certain amount of writing already behind me, I wondered how much I would learn from CREATIVITY RULESIt was a lot!Above all, to my surprise John Vorhaus fully convinced me that a person who wants to write MUST WRITE and should also be audacious and bold in the process.How audacious and bold?Well, John makes a good case for a writer being willing- to invent new words (p. 145)- to verb nouns- to experiment with nonsense- [much more]and he tells us exactly how to do all this productively.CREATIVITY RULES really is an effective writer's workbook.But it is also enjoyable literature!I recommend it highly.

This book is truly better than anything my English Lit teacher taught me! If you only get one book on how to write, get this one. John Vorhaus teaches you a process that will eliminate your writer's block and set your ideas free. Big promises, I know, but that is what I experienced using Creativity Rules! If you are serious about writing, get this book and make the process effective and fun. Enjoy!
