Great unit when installed correctly.
What a great head unit. Paired with four new Kicker speakers in my boat and WOW! HUGE settings menu for total audio and visual customization. My only con......the button on the remote does not turn the radio on. Maybe someone from Sony will see this and help me with the issue. I have an installation tip. This is a high power unit and requires proper power to feed it. If you don't already have 12 gauge hot AND ground wires feeding your current head unit. You MUST and I mean MUST run new 12 gauge hot AND ground wires for this unit to function properly. I thought I had proper wiring in my boat and unfortunately I did not. It looked like 12 but was only 14. Because of this, the unit couldn't reach its full volume potential of 50 and would cut off at 30 and restart. Ran new 12 gauge hot AND ground wires per Sony recommendation. Problem solved. My boat now rocks louder and cleaner than any of my friends.

Buy well established Sony product for quality and performance.
Great sound quality and good power to speakers with no external amp. Sony quality!

Perfect on 06 streetglide
Half the price of the Harmon-Kardon repair and so much louder and nicer ! If you’re debating changing your stereo then don’t wait any longer ! UPDATE- ok so after a few months it has come to not handle vibration very well . It keeps saying output error after a little while riding . Hit a bump , vibration and such it cuts to that error message . When I slow down it’ll come back on sometimes and others it won’t . I love the sound and volume! Looks great too but I’m thinking of switching to aquatic stereo . All in all it’s still better than the stock stereo!

NOT high power, just kinda sorta higher power!
Installs just like any other single din, the high watt statement is false though. This isn't much louder than a normal car stereo and that's why I purchased it. It went in an 86 Dodge D150 that has no air so in the summer I wanted the louder sound. Also, the Sony app that it touts is useless and does NOTHING for the stereo itself. Finally, if I had it to do over again, I would have gone a different route and purchased a different brand.

Head Unit Work for a whole 10 minutes before failing.
Sony has always been a provider of great quality products but looks like I received a dud. The head unit was installed as directed and worked great for about 10 minutes and while trying to tune the sound, the volume was elevated to about half power at which time the unit started clipping and then no sound. All Sony troubleshooting was followed from resets, to initialization and even rewired to ensure all connections were solid but still no sound. Speakers are new Sony XS160s which were pulled and bench test to confirm no issues. Cramming a higher power amplifier into a single head unit does not seem the way to go. Sony even notes in their troubleshooting guide that if the sounds stops and it has been wired to the vehicle's dedicated 12V power source for the factory radio to then wire direct to the battery. Seems that this might be an ongoing issue for their high powered head units.

warranty department has been very slow, unit died within first year, made two calls, left message, no response, warranty expired, money lost

Dislike "demo mode" but easy to disable. Like clear powerful sound and plug in XM radio that is easy to set up.
