Red VanillaFruit Salad 16-Piece Dinner Set

These are really very pretty dishes. They just make me feel happy seeing them out on the table. They are impressive and have a nice weight to them. As others have said they are rather large. The 9 1/2" plate is big enough for a lunch or heating up leftovers for dinner. I wish there were a slighlty smaller plate that could be used for rolls. However with the 4-6 colors in the pattern it shouldn't be difficult to find a coordinating small plate. The bowls are plenty big for a good sized salad or bowl of soup. Just keep in mind all the pieces are larger than usual. You will have to be cognizant if you are trying to manage portion size. And finally the bowls do have to tip to fit in the dishwasher. I don't use the dishwasher more often really as I use the smaller plates for most of my meals for one.

I spent a lot of time looking at a ton of websites and going to many stores trying to find the perfect set of plates for me. I found them and have been using them for about 6 months. I am so happy with the 2 sets I purchased! They are very pretty. I like the square luncheon plate and the shape of the bowl (which I did not think I would like). The plates look better in person than in the picture. They have not scratched or chipped after 6 months of daily use and being cleaned in a dishwasher. The cups are a nice size and weight also. I guess I only have good things to say about this set which is why it has a 5 star rating from me.

I've been looking for a long time to replace our old dinnerware. But did not want a bowl without a rim. Loved the look when I first saw these. I read the reviews and was happy to see mostly positive feedback. These are great dishes. The only thing I found, even after measuring the plates is they are just a little tall in my dishwasher. But it works OK when I lean them a little bit. Besides, now I have a good reason to replace our 13+ year old dishwasher! Bottom line, I'm very happy with this purchase.

Love this set. Pics don't do it justice. Had this set for six years through many dishwasher cycles. Still looks like new. Bought sets for vacation home. Love it.

Beautiful dishes. Was looking for something durable that would be good for either casual or formal dining, and these fit the bill perfectly! I'm not sure why the comments about these being overly large - they are the same size as my other dinnerware. The bowls are shallow, so as others have mentioned they're not ideal as cereal bowls, more suited to formal use.

I especially appreciate the quality and muted colors of these dishes. The fruit is not garishly bright and does not compete with food served on these dishes. These dishes have a heft to them and with their delicate bamboo tracings and fruit vines, they are a beautiful addition to any table. I am so pleased I purchased these and would recommend them.

Very nice, good quality, but all the items are larger than I expected. Seems like everything is growing larger every time you buy things, from plates to appliances. It would be useful if the selling stores listed the sizes.

I absolutely love these bowls! The design on the outside is absolutely gorgeous and they are the perfect size!
