RothcoHickory Striped Engineer Cap

When I got tickets for my mom and I to see the band Train, the first thing I said (after shirts for the show) was, “I am getting us train engineer hats!” This hat was perfect for the event. It is a very nice quality, very sturdy, light weight, and precious. Also, we saw them in early September at an outside venue, and the hat was not hot at all. It does fit true to size. For us to get them in time I had to order us XL hats. They were too large but worked. My mom added elastic in the back of hers, and I had my hair in a bun, and it fit over it. I would say a large would have fit much better but loved this just the same. To give an idea of how it fit, I am a 5’2” female.

Looks the way I imagined on my head. Perfect fit. All cotton. Great buy for the money.

Good Quality hat, true to size.

Fit perfectly on my 6”2 husband with a 7” 3/4 size head.

My husband uses these while working on the steam engines at Golden Spike. Needless to say, he comes home very dirty with black soot. These caps are quite sturdy and have held up to machine washing and still look very good. Even with regular washing there has been very little shrinkage. They also quickly air dry.

My Dad loved getting this hat for Christmas & it looks great on him.

A train enthusiast and stuff

Bought this in XL for a big-headed family member as a gift, and it fit very well. Des not poke up too much, either, like some similar products. Good quality.

I wanted bought this as a gift. Wasn't sure of the sizing. Often they're adjustable. Bought XL and probably would have been good with L. Better too big than too small. Still happy with the purchase.
