For a good sturdy machine to get in shape and improve your ...
Bought this for my wife who wanted it to exercise while watching TV.I did not want to buy it at first after reading reviews that it was too loud and too hard to put together but what my wife wants she gets. Anyways I received the product quickly. When it arrived I had my 15 year old son put it together. He had no problem. Then the wife tried it.It was smooth and quiet. Ignore the reviews about being to loud and having to be a rocket scientist to put it together. For a good sturdy machine to get in shape and improve your cardio at a good price? I recommend this Plasma Fit Elliptical Machine Trainer2.

Compact but efficient enough
Great machine to get the heart racing, you will feel a burn and get a nice sweat in 30 minutes on this machine. Was easy for me to put together I have lots of experience building things but the instructions was useless doesn't give a good enough explanation and the pictures aren't that legible please keep that in mind if you're a person that struggles and really depends on instructions manuals. The machine is very compact it really don't takes up much space, My only nitpick would be it needs some type of docking station for your phone to fully utilize and get the best workout you have to stay in a constant motion so nowhere close to have your phone is a real bummer.

Great for the price
Pretty good quality for the price. I use it almost every day and it seems to hold up. The few small issues I have are the pulse takes forever to read and always starts over and slowly counts up if you release. Everything is metric which really isn't a big deal as the US standard system is dumb if you think about it. The distance and speed don't seem to be accurate, but again I don't really care (My workout doesn't change if the distance says 5km or 100km, I'm still going to go as long as I want to) I wish there was a small shelf to hold a phone or iPad so I can watch videos. I'm 5'11" and 220lbs and the bike fits me perfectly. Seat could be slightly more comfortable but not a deal breaker, I can go 30 minutes no problem and the seat isn't an issue.

Nice but your feet slide forward
3 1/2 stars. Itโs a very nice machine. I bought it for my senior mother who has a little trouble walking sometimes. She has tightness in her legs and a doctor recommended she exercises her legs differently than just walking. We chose this one because it has a seat in case she cannot continue to stand/ride which we think is a plusโฆbut it is really beneficial for her when she does stand. It really works her legs in the quads area where she gets extreme tightness. Working the quads this way helps with the tightnesss that is plaguing her walking. The doctor was right. My only issue. Mom hasnโt complained about it, though she can only do about 40 reps. The issue isโฆwhen youโre standing. Your foot slides forward. Itโs required that you wear shoes. Your foot will slide forward and stop where the peddle is but your toes will go into the end of your shoes. It is a little problem. I use it once a day for 10-15 minutes and itโs a great leg workout standing, but again, those toes slide to the front of my shoe. Sitting does not have the sale impact. Itโs similar to a stationary bike.

So disappointed!!
*Update: I bought this elliptical in March, and it didn't make it to December. It was not used regularly, and certainly not every month. Screws and pieces started falling out, then I noticed the pedals were stuck and something might be jammed. I disassembled to replace the screws and tighten the rest, but unfortunately some of the plastic on the inside had melted with use. I'm still not sure how that even happened, but it's clear now that I can't fix it and it will be junked. After everything, I'm feeling pretty disappointed with this purchase. Assembly was mostly easy to figure out, with the exception of a pedal and bolt that was received jammed, and I required help from a coworker to loosen it with his power tools to finish. He struggled too, so I didn't feel like a total idiot. Was received with some epic scratching and marks, which was a shame, but I'm pretty much the only person who will ever see it so whatever. Is quiet and easy to exercise with and I feel like I am getting a pretty good work out. Biggest complaint hands down: that seat bruised my fluffy bottom for days and it was very sad. Bought a gel cushion to put over it and it is much better. Still happy with this purchase and it is stuck with me for at least 30 more pounds.

Good value
It was pretty simple to assemble and seems sturdy so far. The seat is a nice feature allowing one to sit or stand when using the elliptical. The foot pads are plastic therefore a little slippery when wearing socks. It's very convenient to use while listening to audio books or watching videos. Makes getting my 15 minutes of exercise a day really easy - often do 30 minutes. Highly recommend.

Serviceable for the Money
This product is pretty much "you get what you pay for". Would a more expensive machine have a smoother glide, easier resistance settings (digital vs. a turn-knob), and more stability? Yes. But As I didn't intend to pay $500-700 for a home exercise machine, this trainer does what I wanted. Assembly was rather frustrating (took my boyfriend and I about 2 hrs). Be careful to assemble all pieces in the right order and to make sure items are in the correct position. We installed one of the foot pads backwards and the first time I stepped on it to test it, it cracked. Luckily, it was on the far edge, doesn't affect use, and nothing super-glue can't fix. Using the machine as an elliptical (which was the primary purpose I bought it) is comfortable and easy. There is some sway, but that's to be expected. The seated position is far less comfortable for me. I'm 5'4", and have to lean far forward to grasp the bars. The moving hand bars swing out too far to use and the stand-up bars are too far forward to use comfortably while pedaling. I can do it for a time, but the effort is fatiguing on my back. All in all, I can get a nice work out, get my heart rate up, and can get exercise at home without paying a gym membership, so I'll take it as a win.
