good stud finder
It worked fine finding the edges of the studs, was able to complete mounting my grab bar.

Worked on existing sheetrock/studs but when I had a new wall section put in it could not find the studs even though I could see where the nail heads were. I don't know the thickness of the new sheetrock though so it could be the new sheetrock is too thick.

Donโt buy
I have found it useless for finding studs. A simple magnet works better.

Very inaccurate.
As said by another user, a waste of time. Found to be accurate only as a coincidence. You could probably do better by just throwing darts at the wall.

Cheap Junk
Junk beeps constantly, even holding it in the air. I'm sure I have a lemon but it's going back to Lowes where I bought it.

A waste of time and money.
This device works "kind of" on smooth 1/2" drywall. The locations were inconsistent enough that I still drilled small test holes to assure centering on the studs. It doesn't seem to work at all on plaster-over-drywall construction or on walls with a textured surface. I Can not recommend this tool.
