Works well, looks beautiful and easy to set up
I have used the SimpliSafe alarm system for over 4 years and have had no issues with it during that time. But when it came time to purchase a Smart Lock, I was not sure that SimpliSafe had the best. After doing some research, I have come to learn that if you have a SimpliSafe alarm system and have the $24.99 a month monitoring, then this is the only Smart Lock to get because:1) It only costs $99 which is at least 1/2 of what other Smart Locks cost. You also will not need another application on your cell phone.2) It looks beautiful both the lock itself which uses 1/2 of your existing deadbolt. The profile of the lock is thin and has a minimalist design. Even the keypad looks great. (Please see photos of the Smart Lock and keypad.)3) It is so easy to set up. Although I watched a setup video for setting up this Smart Lock on Youtube, included in the package is an easy to follow set by set guide that will take 15-20 minutes to completely set up. The only tool you need to provide is a Philips screwdriver. Included are a long piece of tape to hold your existing deadbolt on the outside of the door, washers, optional screws, etc. to install the lock.4) Integrates easily with the existing SimpliSafe alarm system. Use your keypad to add the Smart Lock to your existing system and an icon appears on your phone app to lock and unlock your door. You can set the lock to automatically lock after the door is closed in 30 seconds, 1 minute or 5 minutes. Additionally, when you turn on your alarm in Home or Away mode, the Smart Lock automatically locks. When you disarm your alarm via your phone app from Away mode, the lock will unlock. Please note this only replaces single cylinder deadbolts only. I purchase two of these Smart Locks, one to replace the front door deadbolt and one to replace a non deadbolt lock from the garage door to the home. I installed the deadbolt first. The first page of the instructions says this is for deadbolt locks only and no other types of locks. (Please see photo for more details on what types of single cylinder deadbolts.)

Works well and easy to install.
The only issue, and apparently it’s a simplisafe issue, it says on the app that an update is available for the lock but it never allows me to update it.Also, thankfully they changed the alerts so it doesn’t alert on your phone every single time it’s locked and unlocked.

Nice lock, with a couple of shortcomings
The lock is nice looking, and the thin white lock mechanism is obviously high quality, and blends well. The locks work fine, but, and this is important; You cannot lock them via a schedule, nor does Simplisafe support IFTTT, Samsung Smartthings, or any other obvious way to control the locks. You can lock/unlock via the App, and they will lock when the system is armed. So if scheduling/automation doesn't matter, then they are great.

SimpliSafe is SimpliMarvelous!
Like everything else they sell (I just installed their video doorbell), the product is simple to install and set up and works perfectly. It is also extremely well priced.I have had an August lock for a couple of years - cost twice as much, is inconsistent in operation and absolutely chews though expensive batteries. The keypad for the SimpliSafe is a big addition and auto-alarm off a big plus. I'm guessing the keypad is using BlueTooth which would make it a much more reliable connection than using wifi which may have been the issue on both counts with my August lock.A couple of notes: the keypad uses the same code(s) you have already set up. Nothing more to program. Unlike their other devices, the door lock currently requires the system keypad for setup. The app indicates that app-based setup is coming.

Can unlock from the app
So.. I put a combo lock on the house door a few months ago. Since someone is always home, it really didn’t get used until I had an out of state appointment. At which point I learned my father didn’t understand the lock and couldn’t get in the house. I swapped it out for this lock. It’s great - if I’m away, I unlock the house and turn the alarm off when my dad gets to the garage. He can unlock it too - we’ve practiced a LOT, but knowing I can do it takes a load off my mind. It was easy to install and set up, too. The indoor lock looks great against the door!

Easy to install. Works well. Could be a little better
I wanted a smart lock for a door to a storage area. Since we already have a Simplisafe security system, this lock was an easy choice. All of the alarm components work well, so I suspected the lock would as well. I wasn't wrong. The door had an existing KwikSet single cylinder deadbolt and I didn't have to change that out. This is a bolt-on replacement for the inside turn knob assembly. I carefully followed the instructions and it went on and worked first time.I did take off one star on features for a feature it should have, but I can't find, so it probably does not. Every code in our alarm system will open this lock. I would much prefer if only one, or some codes worked the lock. I don't want everyone who has one of the alarm codes to have access to this door, but have found no instructions on how to make that work. I took off another star for lack of responsiveness. Many people have commented on Simplisafe's community boards about the need to allow more control over which codes open the lock. The response is that the developers are looking into it - for months. No progress.
