Decent novelty
I think it spins too fast. The flashlight is a nice addition. The fork could be longer, and I wish they could design the fork to better hold the marshmallow. Then again, they are all just decent at holding the marshmallow.

Fun device!
Although I feel it spins too fast, it does do a great job of toasting marshmallows just the way I like it...Golden Brown! It was a hit at our last camping trip..we almost had to make our guests wait in line to use it.

bad design
half of them had broken motors on arrival, and the flashlight stays on and burns out the batteries if bumped in a drawer, the flash light should be a switch instead.

Telesopic fork a draw back
I received the product and was disappointed with the quality for the price. It uses a telescopic rod to hold the fork out. Same thing as a old portable radio antenna and we all know how long they last and how easy they bend when bumped. Then top it off and let a child use it. I predict this fork is going to last one try when I let the grandkids use it. The rest of the product I am not sure of yet as far as the motor and other parts. The idea is great but the quality is lacking in my opinion.

Best camp tool ever!
Our family absolutely loves this item. So much that we had to order 2 more! The telescoping rod rotates to create perfectly toasted marshamallows. I only wish that it telescoped a little longer, I always worry about little fingers around fire! (We use this item with our small fire pit and it works well. It may not be long enough for an actual campfire though.)

fun item
I bought this for my granddaughter to use in the summer so I have no idea of durability. She loved receiving it. It spins fine. The fork stores safely out of the way when not in use. It is a little short for reaching the fire and I would only use it for toasting marshmallows for s'mores. The tines will get much too hot to just eat a marshmallow from it. I think it's a fun item for kids but not for anyone under age 5.

This version not as good as the first
Yes, I am a spinmallow geek. We found this amazing little tool/toy several years ago while camping in Yosemite. We have since impressed many of our friends with how PERFECT our marshmallows come out. When our first two original spinmallows finally died, we bought this one. It's simply not quite as good. The spins per minute is off and the marshmallow comes out not as perfectly toasted. We just had such wonderful luck with the first version and wish that one was still available!

Never Worked
Gave as a gift and the spinmallow was missing one major part--it didn't spin. Too late to send it back since we ordered in plenty of time. Would not order again.
