DIFFICULT TO WIND ON STRING AND PUT BACK TOGETHER
THIS ITEM IS NOT 5 STARS i just wanted to make sure you read the 1 STAR reviews. They are all true. It is a challenge to wind on the string and pop the trimmer head back on at the same time, just doesn't seem to fit properly. DO N O T BELIEVE THE 5 STARS!!!

DO NOT BUY THIS HEAD< IT IS WORST THAN YOUR BROKEN ONE!
DO NOT ORDER THIS HEAD! This is not a 25-2 head, it is the worst knoc-off made. This item is not returnable for refund so I’m advising you spend your money on a STIHL 25-2 trimmer head! I installed new line for first use, this head cuts the line off at the head so the line pulls in, when you open the head to replace the line the spring falls out. It’s not attached. This head will make you feel like an 80 year old woman when using it. It will have you stopping work every 5 minutes to open the head to feed more line. What a giant POS!

A cost effective replacement for the OEM part.
Not as refined as an OEM part. I took a file to a few edges and beveled them to get the two external pieces fit together easier. A little grease on the retainer clips and on the Bump button where close fitting occurs really helps a positive line feed when you want it and you can take the head apart easier too. Otherwise, the head works fine.

Great quality replacement
Identical to my original Stihl trimmer head. So far it’s been great. My original head was still working but the metal insert where the line exits would fall out went I opened it to refill. It does have a slot between the opposing sides to thread the line across the two, but I haven’t tried it.

Bump Feeder Trimmer Head
My biggest complaint about this item are the holes in the line feeder are not deep enough to hold the string inside. The string would not stay in the feeder when trying to wind it into place. I was thankful that I had my old line spool to use and not the new one. They need to drill the holes in line feeder deeper. Thank you.
