Untangler for your fingers
Wonderful exercises. Some really lyrical and pretty. Great for string crossings, fun, challenging bowing pattern choices. Love it.

Great book to help to improve your violin playing.
This is a great book to help you to improve your violin playing. There are lots of exercises to raise your level of playing, but these are not easy studies, so you need to be at a pretty good level if you want a study book like this. However, I know that these will be invaluable for me. Thanks for the ease of purchase and receipt.

OK studies for 2nd year to 3rd year violin student.
The first half of the book is entirely in the 1st position, while the latter half in the 1st 3 positions on the violin. Pro: Some of the etudes sound nice and are fun or semi-fun to play, yet some etudes aren't nice sounding. Con: These etudes are only in the 1st and 3rd positions with almost no practice in the 2nd position or higher positions. With the above in mind, I think (my opinion) these studies will offer a challenge for a 2nd year violinist yet only a small challenge for a 3rd year violinist and minimal challenge for a 4th year violinist.

If you are a beginner/intermediate (my category) who knows your notes/fingerings in first position, this book will be helpful for you to take your playing up a notch. I just started the book, and I enjoy these studies. They are challenging, especially if you work on different bowings, but not so much that you get frustrated. They are musical, so that makes it fun and also helps you know if you're playing them right. I like how they make you go all over the strings, skipping notes. I just started using this book as a supplement to the ABC's of Violin (am just starting the 3rd "advanced" book in that series). I'm doing one etude per week along with my lessons in the ABC book.

Good Practice book
I ordered this book because I had noticed that many of the people who belong to my violin group uses this book to practice their skills. It is actually 2 books in one, I am happy with my purchase.
